Twenty-two-year-old Liam Moore has finally completed a short-term loan from Leicester City to Championship club Bristol City. The deal will end in January and he will hope to cement a place in Steve Cotterill's team, as they fight to remain in the league.

The Robins have been targeting a new centre-back and striker since the window began, and left it late to bring in Liam Moore after monitoring him for a while. It's clear that he can learn a lot from Steve Cotterill, an experienced manager, but there are still questions surrounding his consistency after a poor loan stint at Brentford.

Previous loan spells

The England under-21 international only played three times last year for Brentford and was then recalled by Leicester after stuttering appearances for the Championship club. He will hope to prove the doubters wrong with more solid performances, in a season that Bristol City will find very testing.

Most of his loan appearances came in the 2011/12 season for Bradford when he played 17 times for the Bantams; a season later, he returned to his parent club Leicester City and helped win them promotion to the Premier League. This experience could be crucial to Bristol City's team and he will hope to finally get some game time by slotting straight into Cotterill's plans.

Championship experience

After playing 59 times for Leicester City and scoring one goal it seems Moore could provide a reasonable amount of experience to the newly-promoted side, whilst still developing his own game ready for his return to the Premier League club. He is also able to play right-back if needed which will provide Bristol City with much-needed flexibility in defence.

Bristol City's fans will hope to see the quality of Moore after struggling in previous years, but he is undoubtedly a very talented youngster produced by the Foxes' youth academy.
