Bolton Wanderers have completed the triple signing of Stephen Dobbie, Lawrie Wilson and Emile Heskey.

Dobbie, who has won the Championship play-offs three times whilst playing for Swansea City, Crystal Palace and Blackpool, has signed a one-year deal with the Lancashire side after being released by Premier League side Palace this summer.

Defender Lawrie Wilson joins the Wanderers on a two-year contract following his release from Charlton Athletic at the end of last season, whilst former England international Emile Heskey has signed a new one-year deal with the club having previously spent six months with the Championship side last season.

A difficult summer for Lennon

With ownership problems at the centre of attention for many Bolton supporters, Neil Lennon's summer preparations have been tricky.

The club still remains in an unfashionable amount of debt for this level of the English football pyramid and, due to these difficult financial situations, owner Phil Gartside has found investment hard to come by.

Summer business has still been good

Despite this, Lennon has managed to secure a number of signings, albeit all on free transfers. Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos has joined the club alongside Gary Madine, who arrives from Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Spanish duo Derik Osede and Jon Ceberio have made the move to England from Real Madrid and Real Sociedad respectively; whilst midfielder Jordan Lussey has signed for Lennon's side after being released by Liverpool.

There has also been a large amount of departures from the club, the most noteworthy ones being that of Alex Baptiste, who has joined Middlesbrough for a £750,000 fee, and Sanmi Odelusi, who joins Wigan Athletic for £500,000.

Other notable departures include Adam Bogdan, Matt Mills, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Craig Davies and Andy Lonergan, who were all released.

Bolton kick-off their 2015-16 campaign at home to Derby County on Saturday before travelling north to face Middlesbrough the following weekend.
