QPR have done more transfer business, this time to sign Napoli forward Eduardo Vargas on a 12-month loan deal as they look to establish themselves as a Premier League side this season.

They announced a deal to sign Leroy Fer earlier in the week, and now they have made it two signings in less than a week to sign the Chilean striker, who performed well alongside Arsenal's new signing Alexis Sanchez at the World Cup.

His impressive attacking performances at the tournament in Brazil have attracted rumoured interest from many different European clubs, including the likes of Arsenal and Valencia.

Redknapp had this to say about his new signing on the club's Twitter account: "Eduardo is a quality player. He's sharp, he's bright, and he's very lively on and off the ball. He can play as a number nine, he can play in behind, he can play wide, he's very versatile.

Vargas said this about his new challenge, moving to the Premier League: "I've come here to do as much as I can and I'm very happy to play for QPR. It's a very exciting league and a super-competitive league and a lot of players look forward to coming to play here in England. I'm looking forward to it. My biggest characteristic is one of speed. I'm always looking towards goal - my intention is to give 100% and not let myself down and to work hard for the team."

Vargas is only 24-years-old, and yet he has a lot of potential to fulfil. He is a very fast player, who can get past a defender easily and has a eye for goal. QPR have done good business in this transfer market, as they did two seasons ago when they were last in the top division; the question now will be whether or not the signings they have brought in can gel together as a unit and perform at the highest level.
