Can Tottenham finish above Arsenal?

Considering Tottenham's recent form and Arsenal's lack of form it is seeming possible that Tottenham could potentially finish above Arsenal this season. Spurs were unrelenting in their 4-0 win over Newcastle as the prolific Emmanuel Adebayor scored a brace. As for Arsenal, they were lacklustre and wasteful against Manchester United in a 0-0 draw. Olivier Giroud again showed why he needs backup if Arsenal are to mount any serious challenge in the coming seasons.

Looking at the league games ahead of the derby, Arsenal arguably have massive advantage as they play Sunderland, Stoke and Swansea. While Tottenham face Norwich, Cardiff and Chelsea. What Tottenham have to their advantage is the lack of FA Cup action, Tottenham now have over a week to prepare for their Europa League tie with Dnipro. Arsenal, however, have to stretch their squad to the limit as they face Liverpool and Bayern Munich in the FA Cup and Champions League.

Are Liverpool title contenders?

Looking at the current league table and their current form. It is hard to argue against the idea that Liverpool are title contenders. Steven Gerrard epitomised their battling qualities with the winning penalty at Fulham on Wednesday evening. Liverpool are arguably the most on form in the team at the moment and taking into account they still have three of the top five to play at Anfield, they are in a healthy position to have a real go at the league.

Furthermore, they still have Daniel Agger, Jose Enrique and Mamadou Sakho to return from injury. That would spell the end of Kolo Toure's run in the first team, that can only be good news for Liverpool with the Ivorian struggling for form of late.

Should Swansea appoint Monk on permanent basis?

It may have been only two games, but there has been a visible difference in Swansea's form since Laudrup left. Under Monk they have picked up four points and have looked like a side that is prepared to fight it's cause. Monk seems a very confident figure head and he looks prepared to take on the challenge. He is well respected at Swansea City, and he knows the club. He seems the right for their situation.
