While most neutrals are concentrating on the battles for the title and Champions League places there is an arguably more important battle taking place at the bottom of the division with clubs futures at stake. There is obviously huge prestige and rewards for clubs at the top end of the league but at the bottom "survival" can often mean more than just staying as a top flight club.  Some clubs bounce back after a relegation but the Football League is full of ex-Premier League clubs with many having gone through financial crisis and multiple relegation.

Currently there are ten clubs who can still be relegated so let's take a look at them and their run ins:

Crystal Palace 40 points
19th April West Ham (away); 27th April Manchester City (home); 5th May Liverpool (home); 11th May Fulham (away)
Crystal Palace are almost guaranteed safety after a run of four successive victories. They have reached the 40 point mark and only a remarkable set of results could see them relegated. However Tony Pulis won't relax until Crystal Palace are guaranteed Premier League football next season.

West Ham 37 points
19th April Crystal Palace (home); 26th April West Brom (away); 3rd May Tottenham (home); 11th May Manchester City (away)
Sam Allardyce has got West Ham into a good position but safety is not yet guaranteed. The Hammers will be looking for points against Palace and West Brom as they face two tough ties to end the season.

Hull 36 points
20th April Arsenal (home); 26th April Fulham (away); 3rd May Aston Villa (away); 6th May Manchester United (away); 11th May Everton (home)
Hull fans will remember this season fondly with the club reaching their first FA Cup Final and they won't want it spoiled by playing Championship football next season. They have an FA Cup Final preview against Arsenal as well as Manchester United and Everton. However, at least one win in their trips to Fulham or Aston Villa should see them safe.

Aston Villa 34 points
19th April Southampton (home); 26th April Swansea (away); 3rd May Hull (home); 7th May Manchester City (away); 11th May Tottenham (away)
Villa looked safe a few weeks ago but a run of four defeats has them  right in the mix. If they are to stay up they will have to do it in their next three games as trips to the Etihad and White Hart Lane will prove to be a tough finish.

Swansea 33 points
19th April Newcastle (away); 26th April Aston Villa (home); 3rd May Southampton (home); 11th May Sunderland (away)
The Swans have had a tough season on and off the pitch and will be looking to pick up the points required in what looks like a reasonable run in. Newcastle and Southampton are guaranteed safety and Swansea will be looking to capitalise on any complacency so they don't have to rely on picking up points in what look like relegation six pointers

West Brom 33 points
21st April Manchester City (away); 26th April West Ham (home); 4th May Arsenal (away) 7th May Sunderland (away); 11th May Stoke (home)
West brom have struggled after a good start to the season and may face some tough games as they hope to secure Premier League football for another season. Things haven't quite worked out for Pepe Mel and regardless of where finish it is likely that he will be replaced in the summer.

Norwich 32 points
20th April Liverpool (home); 26th April Manchester United (away); 4th May Chelsea (away); 11th May Arsenal (home)
Norwich took a gamble by sacking Chris Hughton so late in the season and now  face a huge task to stay in the Premier League. They have the toughest run in of all relegation threatened teams and it is difficult to see where they are going to come from.

Fulham 30 points
19th April Tottenham (away); 26th April Hull (home); 3rd May Stoke (away); 11th May Crystal Palace (home)
Fulham looked dead and buried a few weeks ago but two wins in a row has given them a fighting chance. Tottenham away looks tough but after that they have every chance of picking up the points that could see them overcome the odds.

Cardiff 29 points
19th April Stoke (home); 27th April Sunderland (away); 3rd May Newcastle (away); 11th May Chelsea (home)
It's been a real rollercoaster ride of a season for the Welsh club amidst fans protests at owner Vincent Tan changing the clubs colours and sacking manager Malky Mackay.  The fans won't get over the changing of the clubs identity but if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can pick up the points to guide Cardiff to safety, Vincent Tan might just get some of the clubs fans onside.

Sunderland 26 points
19th April Chelsea (away); 27th April Cardiff (home); 3rd May Manchester United (away); 7th May West Brom (home); 11th May Swansea (home)
Games are running out for the Blackcats and they now only have one game in hand over their rivals and currently sit six points from safety.  Trips to Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford look difficult and they will be targeting three home wins against Cardiff, West Brom and Swansea.
