Sam Allerdyce will be hoping that he can make it a unhappy return for former Hammers' coach Harry Redknapp when he returns to Upton Park with his QPR side on Sunday evening.
Allerdyce, on the other hand, will be hoping that his side can shake off their recent inconsistences. They have managed to gather seven points so far, leaving them 13th, but they are yet to have back to back wins and have conceded 10 goals. Victory could help boost morale before the international break.
However, QPR have found their return to the top flight difficult so far, with only one victory and a defence that have worryingly shipped 13 goals. That coupled with the fact they have only scored four goals, has left them in the relegation zone.
Allerdyce has no fresh injuries but can't welcome any players back either. Matt Jarvis is the closest to a return but this London Derby may have come too soon for the winger. Mark Noble, Cheik Kouyate and Joey O'Brien are all out, while £15 million pound striker Andy Carroll is back in training but is still easing his way back from ankle ligament damage.
Joey Barton and Jordan Mutch are both to face late fitness tests after hamstring injuries, whereas midfielder Sandro is likely to return to the line up after suffering a heavy blow at Southampton last week. Mauricio Isla is a doubt for a start on Sunday as Redknapp is expected to stick to a flat back four, after beginning the campaign with a 3-5-2 formation.
