Hull City look to get back to winning ways after some poor recent form, they take on Spurs, who themselves have been inconsistent recently. The story of his game is the trio of ex-Spurs players within the Hull contingent.

Summer recruits Michael Dawson and Jake Livermore, as well as last season's signing Tom Huddlestone are all looking likely to take on Mauricio Pochettino's team, and they perhaps have a point to prove. Dawson spent ten years at Tottenham and is now in Hull, following in brother Andy's footsteps by playing for The Tigers.

The worrying thing for Hull is that they haven't won a game since October 4th, a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. and despite a couple of encouraging resultd against Liverpool and Arsenal, they have tasted defeat in the last two games against Southampton and Burnley, with two very disappointing performances. This is something Steve Bruce will want to address.

For Spurs, they've suffered from inconsistency this season. They can't appear to put a solid run together, and will be looking to get back to winning ways after two losses in the last three Premier League games. This is Spurs' worst start to a Premier League season since 2008/2009, the season of course where Juande Ramos was sacked after Tottenham sat bottom of the league.

The one thing Tottenham have in favour is their record against Hull is impressive. They've only lost once to the Tigers, in 2008 after a Geovanni costless kick gave Hull a 1-0 win. But with three wins in their last five against Hull, they'll be looking to add a fourth. Hull sit nervously above the relegation only a point off 18th place and sit 15th. Spurs are 12th with 14 points, so Hull could go above Tottenham with a win.

In team news, Hull's injured contingent appears to possibly return. Nikica Jelavic, Allan McGregor and Michael Dawson could return after returning to training, Captain Curtis Davies could also return after injuring his back against Burnley, apart from that Steve Bruce has no real concerns, with Steve Harper and Robert Snodgrass being long term absentees. For Spurs Mauricio Pochettino appears to be keeping his cards close to his chest, not disclosing who is back this week, but Andros Townsend will definitely miss the trip to the KC Stadium, as well as Kyle Naughton who is suspended.
