According to reports, teams all over Europe aer keeping their eyes on 19-year-old Kenedy, who plays in the Brazilian league.

Kenedy, a young attacking midfielder, has made 29 appearances for Fluminese in the Brazilian Serie A since 2013, getting two goals and five assists, but hasn’t been able to keep a constant first-team role in the squad.

He is also fortifying his Y20 spot in the Brazilian national side having made seven appearances but he has only scored one goal.

Previous to this, he played for the Brazilian u17 side, with 13 appearances and seven goals to his name.

Manchester United seem to be interested in adding another attacking option to their team, and they have reportedly already bid £5.7 million.

But, the Rio-based side are believed to hold the price tag close to the £10 million mark.

Fluminese representatives have admitted that Chelsea have also made an approach through Deco, who is now the young star’s agent.

‘There was contact with Chelsea recently,’ said the player’s representative, Eduardo Valdes.

‘It was through Deco. It was an approach, not a formal offer though.’

Kenedy has admitted that he thinks Chelsea would make a better suit for him as his fellow nationals Filipe Luis, Oscar, Ramires and Willian are already playing there.

In an interview last month, the Fluminese forward said: “Of course I am happy to play for Fluminense but it is my ambition to one day play in Europe,

“I like Chelsea because of players like Oscar and Ramires. I like the whole team."
