Arsenal face a gruelling next couple of weeks as they reach a crossroads in their season. The next weeks will be make or break as the Gunners face difficult tests in the Premier League, FA cup and Champions League. Last time the Gunners were on the end of a heavy defeat was at the Eithad Stadium in mid December, but they went on an unbeaten run that ended yesterday. They kept 7 clean sheets in ten games, but why yesterday where they beaten so easily?

The previously reliable centre-back partnership of Koscielny and Mertesacker conceded two set-piece goals in the first ten minutes. They went on to concede three more with Suarez smashing the post and Kolo Toure missing a near open goal. In all honesty Liverpool should of had more but thankfully for Arsenal they took there foot of the gas, but the game was already over. Arsene Wenger is still searching for his midfield as we speak, with the exception of Jack Wilshere who as usual showed the fight and desire which the rest of the midfield sorely missed. Mesut Ozil showed the brutal effects the physicality of the Premier League can have, as he was left on the floor as Liverpool stole the ball and scored their third.

So where now for Wenger's men? The next three fixtures read Manchester United (H) in the Premier League, a rematch with Liverpool at home in the FA Cup and to cap it all off a home Champions League tie against the current holders Bayern Munich. Each game will be a test but also a chance for this Arsenal team to prove their worth to the world. To win trophies you must win the big games and in previous years Arsenal have failed to do this, on Saturday their midfield lacked grit that Flamini normally brings but will be without him for their next couple of fixtures. Wenger must install some fight and strength into this flamboyant, but physically weak Arsenal team, and soon, as all to quickly their season could be over. Arsenal must not dwell on this result as they face the champions on Wednesday night, in what now looks like a must win game.
