Liverpool, Everton and Manchester United have joined Arsenal in the race to acquire the impressive Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann.

The 23-year-old Frenchman has excelled in Basque Country this season, prompting recognition from France manager Didier Deschamps as he featured in the recent friendly against the Netherlands and is currently destined for Brazil.

Sociedad could relinquish Griezmann's services for an offer close to £20m, with Liverpool, Everton, United and Arsenal all lurking eagerly.

United boss David Moyes is keen to oversee an unprecedented overhaul of personnel, and after facing Griezmann and Sociedad in this season's Champions League, he has set his eyes on the France international.

Yet, Arsenal remain the favourites for his signature. The Sociedad attacker could be swayed by the considerable French contingent at the London club and the guarantee of game-time. While Arsène Wenger may concentrate his efforts in acquiring a striker this summer, Griezmann has accumulated more goals than Olivier Giroud this term.

Wenger failed in his attempts to lure Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata and Atletico's Diego Costa to the Emirates Stadium in previous transfer windows, and with the Frenchman under pressure to spend sagaciously this close season, the arrival of a centre-forward is highly feasible.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is aware that he must strengthen his squad and add European pedigree into his dressing room for their certain participation in next season's Champions League to conclude successfully.
