Arsenal have acquired the services of talented 15-year-old, Georgios Spanoudakis from FC Barcelona.Spanoudakis has spent the past five seasons at Barcelona after switching from Frankfurt in 2009. The youngster has already represented Germany at youth level since 2012, making his debut for the under-15's in November 2012 and his under-16's debut in October 2013.

The promising youngster is a highly rated member of Barcelona's La Masia academy and reportedly turned down multiple offers in favour of the Gunners, possibly down to the current German presence. Spanoudakis currently plays as a central midfielder and is an adept passer of the ball. The 15-year-old will join up with the Arsenal under 18's next season following the likes of Cesc Fabregas from Catalonia.

Arsenal have now completed seven youth signings this summer, three of which having Greek heritage along with Savvas Mourgos and Elias Chatzitheodoris. All three made their Arsenal debuts in a 1-0 win against Lincoln City along with new additions, Da Graca and Ben Sheaf. This potentially means if Spanoudakis was to change his national allegiance, there could be an international bond between the three new youngsters to dove-tail with their club relationship and development. The Hellenic Football Federation are already pursuing Spanoudakis and it would be an interesting situation to see how the three Arsenal incomings would work together at an international level following the current German contingent's success.
