Arsenal have publicly announced that Calum Chambers is their fourth signing of the summer transfer window, and they are now the 3rd highest spenders in the Premier League after their new signing was unveiled.

He is only 19 years of age having joined Southampton as a 7-year-old, but already has made 24 appearances in the Premier League with The Saints - having being rewarded for his good performances for the youth academy team in previous seasons with a promotion to the first-team. Many skeptics will be questioning whether or not Arsenal were right to sign Chambers, given his age and lack of real experience, but it is a gamble which has a lot of potential to pay off for The Gunners.

When compared to fellow full-back Carl Jenkinson, it is clear to see that Chambers has the potential to be one of the best full-backs in England and Jenkinson is very likely to leave the club this summer after Chambers' arrival at The Emirates today.

A young gem who is not afraid to put a tackle in, Chambers made 676 successful passes last season and made more tackles (2.08) per 90 minutes than any other Southampton player in the 2013-14 campaign.

As many as five clubs in the Premier League are interested in the 22-year-old, including Southampton and Hull City who are reportedly set to offer Arsenal up to £3million for their out-of-favour full-back. It's a shame if Jenkinson does leave the club, having supported them since he was a child and scoring his first goal for the side earlier this year against Norwich.

Many people probably don't know who Chambers is, but as someone who has watched him since the start of last season it is clear to see that the teenager is a youth startlet with a lot of potential to be special in the future.

Debuchy is a short-term full-back replacement for Sagna, who left for Manchester City at the end of the season. Hector Bellerin and Calum Chambers are likely to get squad rotation football, as they look to develop as the long-term investments for the club.

The future looks bright at The Emirates again. Meanwhile, you have to feel for Southampton. Lallana, Shaw, Lambert, Lovren and Chambers all gone - and now Koeman will have his work cut out trying to replace his key players to stabilize a good position in the league.
