This weekend game against Everton may be the game where Arsenal's German World Cup winners return. But, who will they replace in the starting line up?

Per Mertesacker

The obvious player for Mertesacker to replace is Calum Chambers. Despite the young Englishman's good form for Arsenal, it would be great for Mertesacker and Koscielny to rekindle their defensive partnership that was strong last season.

Meseut Özil

Based on the starting 11 against Besiktas, there are a range of players that Özil could replace. Seeing as Arteta is injured, Özil will most likely replace him, and push Ramsey into a more central midfield role, instead of an attacking role. Özil could also replace Arteta's midfielder partner Jack Wilshere

Lukas Podolski

Arsenal have a range of players in the positions Podolski can play in, so maybe the question is who will he replace on the bench? In the starting 11 Podolski could be a like for like replacement Carzola or Giroud. Many think it is unlikely that Podolski will start against Everton though. There is a lot if competition for places on the bench but Podolski will take one of those places. Podolski may take Campbell's place on the bench but I think he will most definitely be in the matchday squad.
