Arsenal are reported to be one of four Premier League clubs who have expressed an interest in signing Preston North End’s 18-year-old midfielder Josh Brownhill.

The youngster, a former Manchester United trainee lit up Deepdale last season making 24 league appearances and scoring three goals; one of which was voted PNE’s Goal of the Season at the end of last season.

Brownhill has picked up from where he left off last season putting in some dazzling displays during pre-season scoring in four games in a row including a goal against Brendan RodgersLiverpool and a wonder-strike against Premier League new boys Burnley.

Goal.com have revealed Liverpool, neighbours Everton and West Bromwich Albion are the other three top flight sides keeping tabs on the teenager as well as Arsenal.

North End are likely to be reluctant to see Brownhill leave which means any deal that may be done could see him return to Deepdale on a season-long loan.
