Both Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain started in England's international friendly win over Norway. The two Arsenal men started in what was England's first match since an abysmal World Cup campaign, and only 40,000 people travelled to Wembley, a record low attendance at New Wembley.

England started brightly in the first-half and both Chamberlain and Wilshere were lively. Chamberlain was crucial for England and he delivered some good crosses from the right flank. Jack Wilshere and Liverpool's Jordan Henderson dictated the play in a first-half where England has the lion share of possession. Jack Wilshere also had a penalty appeal midway through the first-half which was rejected by the referee.

Norway started very brightly in the second-half with Blackburn's Joshua King forcing a good save from Joe Hart. England would strike first though, with Wayne Rooney converting a penalty that was won by Raheem Sterling in the 68th minute.

Directly after Rooney's goal, the Arsenal pair that started the match, Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, were replaced by Delph and Milner respectively. Another Arsenal player would come on though and Arsenal's new signing Danny Welbeck, who wasn't expected to feature due to a knock he picked up in training, came on for the goalscorer Wayne Rooney. Welbeck started well, forcing a save from Norway's goalkeeper Nyland. Welbeck continued to burst forward into the box as England pressed for a second goal.

The fourth and final Arsenal player in the England squad and the fourth Arsenal player to feature against Norway was Calum Chambers. Chambers made his first England appearance at right-back, coming from for Everton's John Stones. Chambers played well for the 10-minutes he played, making bursting attacking runs and some good defensive play.

England couldn't get another goal and the game ended 1-0, with all four Arsenal players in the squad making an appearance. They all played relatively well in what was a rather underwhelming performance from England.
