Arsenal are currently eying 27-year-old Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco. Giovinco has been a part of the first team of the Serie A champions since 2006 but with his contract ending in the summer of 2015, the Italian could be a prime target for the Gunners.

Arsenal have been interested in Giovinco before. Reports during the last winter transfer window emerged that stated that the club had held talks with the Italian's agent over a possible loan move. Also in the past, Arsene Wenger himself was reportedly impressed by Giovinco and his Juve teammate Claudio Marchisio, and was interested in making moves for both.

Giovinco has made over 100 appearances for his boyhood club, but with the recent emergence of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente in the forward positions, he has seen his time on the field dwindle. The recent signings of young forwards Kingsley Coman and Alvaro Morata has further hurt his chances. This is yet another reason that Giovinco is prime for a transfer.

Overall, a Giovinco signing could be significant for a club like Arsenal. With the injury woes that have plagued Arsenal forwards such Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, an addition of Giovinco would help the depth at that position. Also, Giovinco can play in the central attacking midfield position. He could potentially be a valuable asset there, especially with the recent injury of Mesut Ozil. The depth that he could add there would be useful as well. It would be smart for Arsenal to make a move for Giovinco.
