England continued on the path to European Championship qualification, as Arsenal's English core continued to dominate the team sheet. The trio of Wilshere, Welbeck and Chambers started in Talim, with Oxlade-Chamberlain coming on later.

Surprisingly, Estonia had the first few chances of the game, they had two corners in the first six minutes but nothing came from them. England recovered from the early blip, with Wilshere putting in a great midfield performance. He put in some wonderful balls into the box but nothing came of them. Wayne Rooney, Jordan Henderson and Danny Welbeck all had chances for England in the first-half, which they dominated.

Just three minutes into the second-half, Estonia's captain Klavan was sent off after receiving a second yellow card. Rooney then put the resulting costless-kick over the bar. As England continued to press, Calum Chambers had his header saved and Welbeck had a shot blocked. In the 61st minutes Delph made way for Oxlade-Chamberlain. Chamberlain got in on the action, his header went wide. Welbeck also had a great chance which he squandered high and wide. Substitute Raheem Sterling won a 73rd minute costless-kick, which Rooney dispatched to make it 1-0 England.

Just minutes later, Danny Welbeck was taken off and replaced by Ricky Lambert. Welbeck wasn't in the centre of the action and didn't live up to the expectations that his previous England appearances have made fans expect. After Wilshere was booked, England had a flurry of late chances, including a Rooney shot which was created by a great Wilshere pass. The game ended 1-0, which some fans would say isn't a great result against a 10 man Estonia team. From an Arsenal perspective though, Jack Wilshere did put in a Man of the Match performance in Talim.
