Arsenal and Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey has revealed that his underwhelming form of late is the result of him not feeling in peak physical condition, given the fact that he is currently recovering from a hamstring injury.

Wales' 0-0 Euro 2016 qualifying draw with World Cup quarter-finalists Belgium on Sunday afternoon was just Ramsey's third full match as he attempts to ease himself back into the vigours of first-team football, after he sustained a muscular problem in the north London derby match against local rivals Tottenham back in September.

He has been somewhat unfairly criticised by the media as well as supporters, who are expecting more from him after his successes from last season. However, he has rejected those words and is adamant that he will get back to his best as soon as his body allows him to do so, which is an encouraging boost for Arsenal fans hoping for their Welsh maestro to shine again.

Ramsey himself had this to say, after Wales' 0-0 draw: "It's going to take a few more games for me to get back to my best, but I'm not worried. I think certain criticism from people is a bit unfair. It was tough out there again but I'm not worried - I know my qualities and I've had a few injuries this season and I'm still getting back. I'll be honest and say I'm still not 100% physically there."
