Arsenal are reportedly the front-runners in the chase for Borussia Dortmund and Gabon forward, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

Spanish website Fichajes.net states the north London side are the "front-runners" to sign the player, and Dortmund will are willing to sell their star striker for around £29 million. Borussia Dortmund are currently 12th in the Bundesliga table and if the Ruhr club fail to qualify for European football in May, a majority of their star names such as Marco Reus, Ilkay Gundogan and of course, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang.

Aubameyang has all the qualities you want in a striker; pace, skill, finishing and able to shrug of defenders with ease. Aubameyang is mainly known for his incredible pace and is sometimes called “the fastest player in world football”. Despite Arsenal having some of the fastest players in the Premier League such as Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez and Hector Bellerin, Aubameyang could be a perfect fit for the Gunners.

Olivier Giroud has the physique, technique and occasionally the finishing of a great striker, but lacks the pace, whilst Danny Welbeck can glide through defences with ease but his finishing is a major handicap for the English striker. Aubameyang can hold the play up fairly well and he can play the ball into teammates with ease, what is even more convincing is that the striker is one of the coolest finishers in the Bundesliga, scoring 15 goals and assisting nine in all competitions for Dortmund.
