Reports on Tuesday have suggested that Arsenal will make a move for Barcelona forward Pedro in the summer.

The Spaniard is set to leave the Nou Camp after the arrival of Luis Suarez in the summer and has fell down the pecking order under Luis Enrique. Arsene Wenger will have to pay around £24million for his services with Manchester United, Liverpool and Inter Milan are also interested.

Arsenal were interested in 27-year-old last summer and will be looking to revive their interest. Despite his limited play time, Pedro has still managed an impressive 10 goals.

The La Masia graduate could spell the end of Theo Walcott’s career, Walcott’s current negotiations over a new contract have stalled for some time and it could alert long time admirers Liverpool to make a move for the 26-year-old.

The prospect of Champions League football will be another sweetener in the deal as Arsenal look certain to finish within the top four.

There is still uncertainty surrounding finishing in the top two with their 0-0 draw with Chelsea on Sunday leaving them level on points with Manchester City and just two points ahead of Manchester United.
