Arsenal winger, Serge Gnabry, is on the verge of joining the 2004 Bundesliga champions, Werder Bremen, on a permanent deal.
The club have confirmed that the Germany under-21 international underwent his medical on Wednesday morning, whilst he will be officially presented as a Bremen player in the afternoon.
Gnabry’s father, Jean-Hermann Gnabry, told the press that his son will be leaving Arsenal before the end of the summer transfer window.
Arsene Wenger has publically admitted that the Frenchman wanted Gnabry to sign a contract extension with the North London club before being sent out on loan for regular first team football, but it looks as if Gnabry has made up his mind on his future.

The fee is reported to be around £7 million, which includes add-ons, whilst he will sign a four-year deal with the Bundesliga club, which will also include a release clause.
Gnabry was one of the stars of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games as the youngster claimed a silver medal with Die Mannschaft, and the 21-year-old was his country’s joint top goal scorer, alongside Freiburg striker Nils Petersen, with six goals.
Another talent lost in the Arsenal team?
Gnabry was tipped for big things at Arsenal in the 2013/14 season when the then 18-year-old winger made his debut for the Gunners in a 3-1 win at home to Stoke City.
Gnabry went on to make 14 appearances for the Gunners that season, and the German attacker bagged his first Arsenal goal in a 2-1 win away to Swansea City in late September.
However injuries have hindered Gnabry’s play time at the Gunners hugely, and a failed loan spell at fellow Premier League side West Bromwich Albion, in which Wenger recalled him from due to a lack of playing time, has not helped Gnabry’s bid for regular first team football at the Emirates.
