Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has talked up teammate Jack Grealish in the media, saying that the young player is an exciting one, full of potential.

Under the tuition of new manager Tim Sherwood, winger Grealish shot to prominence during the second half of this season, dazzling fans in the Midlands with his attacking talents.

Much like Agbonlahor, Grealish is a product of the club's youth academy, and finally got the chance to show what he can do in the 2014/15 campaign, making 18 Premier League appearances for the Villans. He also played a starring role in their run to the FA Cup final, winning a Man of the Match award for his display against Liverpool in the semi final.

Speaking to the club's official website, Agbonlahor spoke about Grealish's improvement, and insisted that he can go even further.

"Seeing him break into the side as a young lad brings back good memories for me - although he's a lot better!

"Anyone who is watching him now, they haven't seen anything yet. He skips past players in training every day - these are senior professionals.

"Everyone is astonished at how easy it is for him. I think there's a lot more to come from him. If you're a Villa fan, you should be excited.

"I give him advice considering what I have been through in the game already. But he's clever on the pitch. He knows the game. He understands the game. He does things that people don't expect.

"Great credit to him because he works ever so hard in training. He's always one of the lads out every day. He's still working on parts of his game he can improve on."
