Unfortunately, that's all we've got time for on VAVEL UK. I've been Oliver Emmerson, and I'll see you next time.

That's it, West Brom have claimed a huge win at Villa Park, with Saido Berahino's first half goal handing them the win in this derby match. Tim Sherwood can have few complaints, as his Aston Villa side played poorly, and didn't deserve to come away from the game with anything.

Full time: Aston Villa 0-1 West Brom (Berahino 40')

90+4: Just time left for West Brom's last change, Olsson on for McClean.

90+3: Entering the final minuted of added time, as a goalmouth scramble results in Myhill claiming the ball.

90+1: Chance! Grealish picks Bacuna out on the wing, and his cross is met by Gestede, who heads over the bar.

90: Rickie Lambert replaces Rondon for West Brom, as four minutes of added time are announced.

87: Villa can't break West Brom down, and the travelling fans are loving it.

83: A strong header from Rondon at the backpost is just about held by Guzan, with the Baggies threatening on the counter late on here. Seven minutes for Villa to find an equaliser.

82: Final change of the afternoon for Villa, Veretout replaces Sanchez in midfield.

79: Ah, the story of the afternoon. A poor set piece from Villa that goes straight into the wall.

77: Despite being a goal up, West Brom are still doing their fair share of attacking, as Morrison shoots over. At the other end, Villa have another free-kick and it's a yellow card for Yacob as he goes through the back of Grealish. This one is quite far out, and Bacuna will take.

75: Gil's race for the day is ran, he's come off for Bacuna. He'll be down the right wing, looking to whip crosses in for Gestede.

72: Groans from the home fans, as Westwood curls over the bar.

71: Free-kick for Villa on the edge of the area, Westwood to take. Richards had headed into the goal, but only because Myhill left the ball alone due to the whistle blowing.

66: Change for West Brom, as Craig Gardner comes on for Berahino - to a chorus of boo's, as he used to play for Villa. Five in the midfield for West Brom now, as Tony Pulis looks to sure up the defence.

65: Close! Similarly to Daley Blind's goal for Manchester United against Liverpool last weekend, Villa roll the free-kick back to a man on the edge of the area. Grealish is that man, but he can't repeat Blind's heroics, curling a shot wide.

64: Interesting. Villa have a free-kick right on the edge of the area, down the right hand side. Villa claim that the handball from Berahino was inside the area, whilst Berahino claims it hit him in the ribs, not arm. Gil to take.

62: Yellow card there for Gil.

60: We're entering the final half-hour at Villa Park, and the hosts are still 1-0 down to Berahino's first half goal. Will we see any more strikes late on?

59: Slightly dodgy from Guzan as he can only a parry a seemingly soft shot from Rondon, before gathering it before it bounced into the net.

57: Rondon given far too much room to turn in the area, before captain Richards gets across to block the shot.

56: Gil gets it up and over the wall, but it's nowhere near powerful enough to trouble Myhill.

55: Agbonlahor fouled by Yacob on the edge of the area, a good chance for Villa to shoot here. Gil and Westwood standing over it, although you'd fancy the former to take it, due to him being left-footed.

52: An Amavi cross is cleared to Sanchez who tries his luck with a long range effort, but it's easily held by Myhill.

45: Underway in the second 45.

Ah, we do see Gestede. He's on for Scott Sinclair at half-time.

What will we see in the second half? Hopefully, a more end to end game, as things didn't really get going until the final 15 minutes. Oh, and Rudy Gestede. Expect to see Rudy Gestede.

A disappointing first half for the home side, who could have been behind by a larger defecit were it not for Guzan. West Brom will be delighted, and that Berahino goal will go a long way to mending relationships, after his strike threaten on Deadline Day.

Half time: Aston Villa 0-1 West Brom (Berahino 40')

43: Westwood drags another effort wide at one end, before Guzan claims Berahino's whipped free-kick at the other.

40: Despite a great performance so far, there's nothing that Guzan could have done about that. McClean's cross fell to Rondon, and he tee'd up Brunt, whose shot was poked by Berahino into the corner, sending the American 'keeper the wrong way.

GOAL! Berahino is claiming it, West Brom are ahead!

34: James Morrison gets a booking too, tugging on the shirt of Gil.

30: Lovely effort from Darren Fletcher, as he drives one with the left peg from 25 yards out. Guzan just about gets there, pushing it wide.

26: Close! Yacob makes up for his earlier error, taking one in the privates to block Gil's goalbound shot, after excellent work from Agbonlahor down the left flank.

24: Yacob loses the ball for West Brom in a dangerous area, however Villa can't capitalise, Westwood striking wide from distance.

20: First yellow card of the game goes to Chris Brunt, a late challenge on Sinclair. Villa Park is subdued after a slow start to the game from the hosts.

14: Sloppy play from the visitors allows Grealish to seize the ball in a dangerous position, but his cross to Agbonlahor is over-hit and dealt with as a result.

8: It's all West Brom at the moment, as a succession of Berahino corners go undealt with before the Baggies eventually give away a foul in the Villa area.

2: Good start from the visitors, as Rondon forces Guzan into a great save after getting on the end of Brunt's cross.

0: We're underway!

Fairly positive, attacking line-ups from both managers there, builds for an exciting game!

WBA subs: Lindegaard, Olsson, Chester, Gardner, McManaman, Gnabry, Lambert.

West Bromwich Albion starting XI: Myhill, Dawson, McAuley, Evans, Brunt, Morrison, Fletcher, Yacob, McClean, Berahino, Rondon.

Villa subs: Bunn, Clark, Bacuna, Cole, Veretout, Ayew, Gestede.

Aston Villa starting XI: Guzan, Hutton, Richards, Lescott, Amavi, Sanchez, Gil, Westwood, Grelaish, Agbonlahor, Sinclair.

One player who will be having some fairly mixed emotions today is Joleon Lescott, who is expected to start at center back for the hosts. Signing in a Deadline Day move from West Brom, he could be subjected to boos from the visiting fans, after revealing that he had been angling for a move to Villa throughout his career, due to them being his boyhood club.

Jonny Evans appears to be fit for the visitors after fighting off a dead leg, but goalkeeper Ben Foster is still out with a knee injury picked up towards the back end of last season. Saido Berahino, who threatened to go on strike after his move to Tottenham collapsed on Deadline Day, could make his first start since those events.

We do know a few things though, one of those being that Tiago Ilori won't make his Villa debut, with Sherwood describing him as 'not ready' earlier this week. Adama Traore could come back into the fold following injury, whilst Carles Gil faces a late fitness test.

However, you can't take too much from those games into today, as there were big changes at both clubs over the off-season. West Brom smashed their transfer record to sign Salomon Rondon, whilst Villa spent over £50million on 13 players, in a bid to replace the likes of Fabian Delph and the aforementioned Benteke. As you would expect, this means that there'll be some contrasting line up's today to those from March.

It was a memorable March for Villa, as two consecutive wins over their rivals allowed them to climb out of the relegation zone and then reach the FA Cup Semi Final stage. First up came a narrow 2-1 win in the league, thanks to Christian Benteke's late penalty, before things were slightly easier in the cup, as they won 2-0 at Villa Park.

Back at the Hawthorns in December, the Baggies recorded a 1-0 win to gain the bragging rights over Villa for a few months, before Tim Sherwood's men firmly wrangled them back with two straight wins in four days.

Considering how much these local derbies are valued by the fans, they were overjoyed to face eachother three times last season, rather than the normal two.

Things don't read too much better for West Brom either, as they sit just a point and a place above the Villans. An away draw against Watford was sandwiched by home defeats to Manchester City and Chelsea before they won their first game of the season, 1-0 away to Stoke City, just before the international break. They followed that break up with a positive result last weekend, drawing 0-0 against Southampton.

Villa come into the game having not won a league game since the opening day, which was well over a month ago. Following up the 1-0 away win at Bournemouth with losses to Manchester United, Crystal Palace and Leicester City, aswell as a draw against Sunderland - they lie 15th in the table.

Two of the biggest derby games in English football are on the order today, with Chelsea and Arsenal getting underway in the earlier kick-off at 12:45. With Birmingham City not being in the top flight, this is certainly the big one when it comes to Midlands football, and both teams will be desperate to pick up all three points.

Hello and welcome to VAVEL UK's live minute-by-minute commentary of this afternoon's Premier League game between Aston Villa and West Brom, contested at Villa Park. Kick-off in the Midlands is set for 15:00BST, but before then we'll take a look at what we can expect from the game and more, aswell as getting the confirmed XI's - so stick with us!
