Unfortunately, that's all we've got time for today. I've been Oliver Emmerson, taking you through Aston Villa 0-1 Stoke City. See you next time.

That's Stoke's first away win in the Premier League since February, which was also against Villa. The home side were met with boo's by their fans as they walked off, and rightly so. Sherwood didn't set up a team to win, and they deserved what they got.

Back to back wins for Stoke, but despair for Aston Villa, as Marko Arnautovic's early second half goal keeps them without a league win since the opening day, and keeps them in the relegation zone.

Full time: Aston Villa 0-1 Stoke City (Arnautovic)

90+5: Grealish's ball in is sliced behind for a corner. Last chance for Villa. Gil's ball in is dreadful, Stoke counter and have a free-kick. Awful, absolutely awful from the home side.

90+3: Ayew takes, blocked. Amavi rebound, blocked. A big hoof from Stoke, as a sigh now rings around Villa Park.

90+2: Gueye draws a foul, and Villa have a stoppage time free-kick. Around 25 yards out, dead centre. A clamour of players are standing around it.

90+1: A roar goes around Villa Park as five minutes of added time are announced!

87: Ayew's looked lively since coming on, but can't find the goal with his latest effort, shooting into the side netting after dropping the shoulder in the penalty area.

84: Villa are camped in Stoke's half, even more so now with Diouf down injured, replaced by Joselu. Can they find a late equaliser, or will the bad run continue?

80: Ayew's backheel is intercepted by Whelan who clears for a Villa corner, cleared by Stoke following Veretout's delivery.

77: So close! Amazing surge into the box from Richards, beating three men before going down rather dramatically as he knocks the ball to Ayew. No penalty, as Ayew's shot is blocked... the ball rolls to Veretout who also has an effort blocked before Stoke clear.

75: Final change for Villa, Gil for Westwood.

72: Stoke looking for a second, Afellay drives into the box from the left hand side, selfishly shooting and seeing his effort blocked.

70: Goalscorer Arnautovic goes off with 20 minutes to play, Van Ginkel replacing him to play a slightly more defensive role.

67: Gestede gets in behind the Stoke defence, but a tame shot is held by Butland.

63: Poor effort, blocked by the wall, met with groans around Villa Park. Stoke look to make a quick counter but it comes to nothing.

62: Chance here for Villa, as Afellay fouls Gueye on the edge of the area. Veretout lines up the free-kick.

58: Changes for each team, Ayew replaces Sinclair for Villa, whilst Bojan is subbed off for Afellay for Stoke.

57: So close! Straight up the other end, Richards meets Westwood's cross, but can only put his free header wide. Should have at least tested the 'keeper there.

55: Shocking defending from Villa. Glen Johnson picks it up on the right hand side, and has all the time in the world to play in Arnautovic, who gets inbetween the huge gap between Richards and Crespo, to nip in and slot past Guzan.

Goal! Stoke are in the lead, Arnautovic!

49: Brighter from Villa in the early stages of the second half, with Amavi winning a corner courtesty of a cross down the left channel. Cleared, but there's certainly more promise so far from the hosts.

45: We're underway in the second half.

Villa making a change at half-time, Jack Grealish replacing Joleon Lescott, leaving Crespo and Richards as a pairing in a now back four. The 3-5-2 experiment ends before it's really began.

Well, that wasn't very good. Stoke have shaded it, due to being average going forward, compared to Villa's poor. If the game continues in this vain for the second half, you'd expect the away side to snatch it. The likes of Grealish and Gil will be itching to get on for Aston Villa.

Half time: Aston Villa 0-0 Stoke City

45+1: Into one minute of added time.

42: Into the final few minutes of the first half, and it's safe to say that this game hasn't been a classic so far.

38: Excellent driving run into the box from Veretout, before he's eventually outmuscled by Cameron. The Frenchman shouted for a penalty, but it was never going to be given.

35: Goal for Stoke, disallowed! This is close... Arnautovic sprints into the Villa half and pings the ball out to Bojan, before running into the box and getting on the end of the Spaniard's cross, poking in. The flag was up, and it remains 0-0.

27: Villa have an effort at goal of their own, Lescott heading from Westwood's corner, however Butland pushes it over.

22: Absolutely superb cross from Erik Pieters, as he gets room on the left-hand side, but it's just inches too high for the head of Diouf. Stoke on top here.

17: Wow! Charlie Adam going for another 50 yard lob, has it just about tipped over by Brad Guzan.

11: Half chance for Villa as a long ball to Gestede is knocked down into the path of Sinclair, however Pieters is on hand to sweep the ball out for a corner, which comes to nothing.

7: Stoke making all the early running. Adam pings a pass out to Arnautovic on the left hand side, only for him to cut in and shoot well over the bar.

4: Chance for Stoke! Poor defending from Villa allows Diouf and Walters to play a one two, with Diouf's shot blocked thanks to a last ditch challenge by Richards.

2: Questions over Villa's formation answered, as we see that Crespo has started in a centre back role, alongside both Micah Richards and Joleon Lescott in a three man defence. Hutton and Amavi at wing back.

0: Kick-off, we're underway at Villa Park!

Here we go, the players are out and shaking hands. Aston Villa - Stoke City is ready to get underway!

Predictions? We've had Villain59er tweeting in, saying that he's tipping the home side to win 3-1. I'd be leaning towards the draw myself, going for a narrow 1-1. Tweet in your own predictions to our Aston Villa Twitter account, here.

For the visitors, Spanish midfielder Bojan could be the key in breaking down a tough looking Villa defence. He's looked in good form since returning from injury, and scored last week.

Looking at potential match-winners on Villa's part, you can go no further than Rudy Gestede. Bang in form with three goals in his last two games, he'll be confident of extending that streak today, against a Stoke defence that is still without Ryan Shawcross.

The big news for Stoke is that Diouf gets back into the starting 11 after his winner last week, whilst the rumours of Shaqiri being out are confirmed.

Interesting team selection from Tim Sherwood, with Jose Angel Crespo coming in to make his debut, possibly in a midfield role. There's no place for Jack Grealish, Jordan Ayew or Carles Gil in the starting 11, perhaps he's looking to nulify Stoke in the first half and go for broke in the second 45?

Stoke City substitutes: Given, Munesia, Ireland, Joselu Afellay, Van Ginkel, Crouch.

Aston Villa substitutes: Bunn, Bacuna, Richardson, Ayew, Sanchez, Gil, Grealish.

Stoke City starting XI: Butland, Pieters, Wollscheid, Cameron, Johnson, Whelan, Adam, Walters, Bojan, Arnautovic, Diouf.

Aston Villa starting XI: Guzan, Hutton, Richards, Lescott, Amavi, Crespo, Veretout, Gueye, Westwood, Gestede, Sinclair.

In the Stoke corner, Mark Hughes answered a similar question with, "We picked up our first win in the league last weekend and now we want to build upon that and sign off for the international break unbeaten in four."

When asked about where they expect their teams to finish, following differing results last week, the two managers offered fairly different ideas. Choosing just to warn off the idea of a relegation battle, Sherwood said "It's too early to put us in a relegation battle. We're a young group, a new group. I'm confident we'll be okay."

The big loss for Stoke could well be that of Shaqiri, with the Swiss international facing a late fitness test for his thigh strain picked up last weekend. Diouf will want to start following his winning goal against the Cherries, whilst Ibrahim Afellay could come back into the side following suspension.

Despite not having recieved the line-ups for the game yet, there are certain things we already know about who won't be involved. Gabriel Agbonlahor is a major doubt, with the hamstring issue that kept him out of the Liverpool game still troubling him, whilst his teammate Adama Traore is still suffering with an ankle knock.

It was a better weekend for Stoke however, as they got the aforementioned three points over Bournemouth. Mame Biram Diouf got a late winner as it finished 2-1, following goals from Jon Walters and Dan Gosling. That victory helped relieve some pressure on Mark Hughes, who had been on the end of some fans calling for his head following a slow start to the season.

Since then, a huge amount of players, 13 in total, have arrived at Villa Park. It was one of those new signings who showcased his talent at Anfield last week, Rudy Gestede grabbing a brace in the 3-2 loss to Liverpool. He couldn't prevent the defeat though, which came following other league disappointments against Leicester City and West Brom

It was a fairly different scenario when these two last met, Stoke winning 2-1 back in February. Villa were even further down the table, a lowly 19th having just appointed Sherwood, whilst Stoke were flying high in the top half of the table. Form played a part on that occasion, the Potters triumphing thanks to a late Victor Moses penalty.

Things haven't been much better for Stoke either, despite bringing in the reputable Champions League winner, Xherdan Shaqiri. They had been below Villa until last week, where three points moved them above their opponents today, into 17th place - where they remain going into this contest.

Spending £50million in the summer on new recruits following the sales of Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph, manager Tim Sherwood is on thin ice having led his team to just one win and one draw from seven league games, with three consecutive losses the current concern. That's left them in 18th place, two points above being bottom of the table.

This is set to be a huge game between to struggling teams, who both need to get amongst the points, having failed to start the season well despite both showing huge promise in the transfer window.
