The FA revealed they will peruse the incidents that occured during the altercation at the end of Aston Villa's 1-0 win against Chelsea before deciding if any action will be taken. Ramires was handed a red card by referee Chris Foy in injury time for his barbaric tackle on Karim El Ahmad.

This caused Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert, and other coaches from both clubs to calm the dispute. Referee Chris Foy then sent off Jose Mourinho for attempting to engage in further dialogue with him. Mourinho claims he wanted to ask Foy how he would allow Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor to charge off the bench and grab Ramires from behind.

Despite his claim, Mourinho himself may face an FA charge because according to Rule E3 in the FA rulebook managers are not allowed to leave their technical area during the game and may face a charge of £8,000-£12,000.

On top of it, if any of the coaches or players used abusive language during the quarrel they may face a two-match suspension. Mourinho, Agbonlahor, and others will find out their verdict after they receive Foy's report of the game on Monday.
