Premier League leaders Chelsea will be hoping to avoid an upset of major proportions when they travel to in form Shrewsbury on Tuesday night.

Jose Mourinho's side will be reeling after putting in a real professional performance at Old Trafford only to concede a last minute equalizer courtesy of Robin Van Persie. The Blues are still unbeaten in the league and all competitions for that matter, however they were not too convincing in their third round victory, a 2-1 win at home to Championship Bolton.

This competition no doubt will have a place in Jose Mourinho's heart as it was his first trophy as Chelsea manager back in 2005. They beat Liverpool in Cardiff back then and it was the Londoners fourth League Cup triumph and also their last with a 2008 final defeat to Spurs the closest they've come since.

Their opponents Shrewsbury Town are full of confidence right now as Micky Mellon has guided his side to four straight wins to leave them three points from the summit of League two. The Shropshire based team are fourth in the fourth tier after a 2-1 comeback victory against mass decliners Portsmouth. Therefore they will have real momentum coming into arguably the biggest night of their history in the last 16 of the competition.

They've done incredibly well to make it this far after already beating Premier League opposition in the form of Leicester City, while also seeing off Championship outfits Norwich and Blackpool through the first three rounds.

Captain Liam Lawerence and striker Andy Managan are just coming back from long term injuries but should be fit to take part in some capacity on Tuesday  night. Jose Mourinho will surely ring the changes from the League lineup, so expect the likes of Petr Cech in goal, Nathan Ake and Kurt Zouma at the back along with Mohamed Salah in midfield to feature.

Branislav Ivanovic received a one game suspension following his sending off at Old Trafford and fortunately for Chelsea he'll be able to serve it for this game. Fellow full back Cesar Azpilicueta is also suspended, strikers Diego Costa and Loic Remy are unlikely to be risked for this one
