Petr Cech has been a part of some fantastic Chelsea sides, winning almost every major honour along the way but the veteran has admitted his confidence in Jose Mourinho's current team, who sit top of the Premier League, and thinks they have the capability of going down in the Blues' history books.

After three consecutive wins in three separate competitions, in which the goalkeeper who has been at the club for 10 years has started, Cech is positive in all manners regarding his current teammates.

"I like the way we approach games; we want to win every game," the experienced stopper told Chelseafc.com. "The aim is to win as many games and competitions as possible, but football is football... You can only judge the team by the end of the season when you see how much they [the team] have achieved."

With four trophies currently available to win for the Blues, Cech says the squad are more than capable of winning any of them: "This team has the potential and quality to be one of the best in Chelsea's history - if it can prove it by winning trophies."

Having secured a place in the Capital One Cup Semi Final on Tuesday night, where they'll face Liverpool, Jose Mourinho's men are currently top of the Premier League, three points ahead of Manchester City, while also looking ahead to an FA Cup date with Watford FC and a tricky tie against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League Round of 16.
