21:40. Unfortunately, that's all we've got time for tonight. I hope you've enjoyed following my live coverage as much as I enjoyed writing it. I've been Cian Woulfe and you've been great. Until next time on VAVEL UK, thank you and goodnight.

21:37. So, somewhat familiarly, Chelsea grab a crucial away goal, giving them the advantage back at Stamford Bridge in a couple of weeks' time. Somewhat harsh on PSG, but that's football. I can't see anything less than a Chelsea win back at the Bridge.

FULL TIME. PSG 1-1 CHELSEA.

90+2'. What a stunning reaction save from Courtois. A floating cross comes in Ibrahimovic, who tries to write his own story with a powerful downwards header, only for the Belgian, who has been top-notch tonight, to palm it away.

TWO MINUTES ADDED TIME

90'. Javier Pastore feeds a swerving cross in towards Blaise Matuidi, but Terry sees it out.

83'. Oscar replaces Cesc Fabregas, as Mourinho uses up his last substitute.

80'. Another brilliant chance for Cavani, as he beats Ivanovic with skill and toe pokes it beyond Courtois, but it's inches wide. Ezequiel Lavezzi is off for Javier Pastore and Loic Remy replaces Diego Costa.

78'. Marco Verratti brings down Eden Hazard and picks up a booking for his troubles. Meanwhile Juan Cuadrado makes his Champions League debut in place of Willian.

73'. Cesc Fabregas booked for a foul on Matuidi.

70'. The French side fully dominating now, with Chelsea struggling to get out of their own half.

66'. PSG have a corner after David Luiz so very nearly scores against his old club, but Courtois is again the hero. The corner is wasted.

65'. Oscar, Loic Remy and Juan Cuadrado all warming up for Chelsea. Meanwhile, one goal-scorer in Ivanovic is booked for a pull on the other, Cavani.

59'. What a chance for PSG! Zlatan Ibrahimovic forces a great save from Courtois, before Matuidi looks sure to score from the rebound, be it only for Azpilicueta to be camped on the line to block it. Huge let-off for Chelsea.

55'. Oh dear. Awful, awful defending from the away defence, as Blaise Matuidi's cross is headed home by Edinson Cavani with absolutely no-one around him in the six-yard box and the Parc des Princes erupts. Game on.

GOAL!!!!!!! Paris Saint-Germain 1-1 Chelsea (Cavani)

50'. Gregory van der Wiel is booked for a foul on the tricky Eden Hazard.

46'. 45 minutes for Chelsea to hold on and grab a crucial away win in this tie, or alternatively, 45 minutes for PSG to rescue their reputation.

KICK-OFF

20:46. Stay tuned for the second half.

20:38. PSG are sharp going forward, with Zlatan and Lavezzi forcing a couple of top saves from the fine Thibaut Courtois.

20:35. So Chelsea finish the first quarter of this tie on top, courtesy of Serb powerhouse Branislav Ivanovic's header. I think it's fair to say that it was against the run of play, but hey - when has that ever bothered Jose Mourinho and Chelsea?

HALF-TIME

44'. ...and it's just over, as he powers a free-kick over the top of the bar.

43'. Free-kick to PSG as Marco Verratti is brought down by Nemanja Matic...

37'. A goal made and scored by Chelsea's defence! John Terry sends in a stunning cross, which Gary Cahill flicks on for Branislav Ivanovic, the king of big-game goal scoring defenders, to head home brilliantly. Hazard, Fabregas and Costa, eat your hearts out.

GOAL!!!!!! PSG 0-1 Chelsea (Ivanovic)

36'. Chelsea slightly lucky not to be behind so far, if truth be told.

34'. What a save by Courtois again! A Lavezzi corner comes in at the near post and Cavani gets a Drogba-esque head on it, but Courtois superbly tips it over the bar, fantastic.

30'. Cesc Fabregas swings in a free-kick towards John Terry, but Sirigu just gets there before the Blues skipper.

27'. Van der Wiel is in again, getting behind Cesar Azpilicueta and trying to cross to Ibrahimovic, but Gary Cahill cuts it out, just.

26'. Eden Hazard tries to sprint down the right and send in a powerful cross, but Sirigu stops it.

21'. The aforementioned Swedish maverick tries to send in a cross from a stupid angle and it hits the side-netting.

19'. Diego Costa is already starting to get fired up, after a few refereeing decisions haven't gone his way and the Spaniard then proceeds to foul Ibrahimovic.

14'. Edinson Cavani tries to send a drifted through-ball in towards Van der Wiel, but it's slightly too heavy and it's a goal kick to Chelsea.

11'. Great double-save from Courtois! A powerful header from Blaise Matuidi is palmed away, before Ibrahimovic has a header from point-blank range saved by the big Belgian.

6'. The French side have been very quick to close down any Chelsea player that gets the ball, with Eden Hazard and Cesar Azpilicueta facing a task down the left flank.

5'. The good news for Chelsea fans is that by this point in the last fixture, Lavezzi had already put PSG 1-0 up.

3'. PSG with the early possession. Gregory van der Wiel tries to send a cross in to Ibrahimovic, but it goes out for a goal kick.

KICK-OFF

19:35. 10 minutes to go in this mouth-watering Last 16 tie - the Champions League is well and truly back.

19:25. David Luiz's inclusion in midfield is not entirely unfamiliar, with Mourinho quite often positioning the Brazilian alongside anchor man Nemanja Matic, most notably in the tactical masterclass against Manchester City last season.

19:20. The importance of an adequate partnership between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani for PSG tonight cannot be understated, with both players needing to be on the same level, at the top of their game to ruffle Chelsea's resilient, albeit breakable defence.

19:10. Chelsea will of course rely heavily on Eden Hazard tonight, as they did last season, though it seems the workload is off the Belgian's shoulders, with Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa able to do just as much damage. The difference between the two Chelsea sides in just a year is incredible.

18:55. David Luiz starts against his old club and he will be desperate to prove to Jose Mourinho that he has evolved as a player since leaving London.

18:53. So a very strong line-up there for Chelsea, with Cesc Fabregas erasing any earlier doubt, going straight into the side, though in attacking midfield rather than defensive, where Ramires comes in. Meanwhile Courtois comes back in goal and Gary Cahill replaces the impressive young Kurt Zouma.

18:52. PSG's bench reads: Douchez, Camara, Bahebeck, Digne, Rabiot, Pastore, Kimpembe.

18:51. The Chelsea bench reads: Cech, Filipe Luis, Zouma, Oscar, Cuadrado, Drogba, Remy.

18:48. BREAKING: Sirigu; van der Wiel, Silva (c), Marquinhos, Maxwell; David Luiz, Verratti, Matuidi; Lavezzi, Ibrahimovic, Cavani.

18:46. BREAKING: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Ramires, Matic; Willian, Fabregas, Hazard; Diego Costa.

18:44. With just an hour until kick-off, the teams will be announced any minute now.

18:33. The second leg will live long in the memory of Chelsea supporters, cooking up another concoction of Champions League magic at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea having to win by two goals to prevail, so when Andre Schurrle halved the task in the first 45 minutes, it looked possible, though the Blues looked destined to fail, having numerous efforts turned away by the woodwork and opposition goalkeeper alike throughout the second half. They got their stroke of luck on 90 minutes though, when a deflected through-ball from Cesar Azpilicueta fell to Demba Ba and the centre-forward poked the ball into the top corner to send the Bridge into overdrive.

18:26. In the first leg of the fixture last season, also in Paris, the hosts triumphed with a convincing 3-1 win, after Eden Hazard's penalty was cancelled out by Ezeqiuel Lavezzi, Javier Pastore and a David Luiz own goal against his future club.

18:21. The line-ups are set to be announced in around half an hour and you can be sure that we will keep you well updated then they are.

18:14. And here is a piece on the importance of Nemanja Matic in Chelsea's Champions League run, from Harris.

18:11. If you fancy a bit of light reading before the game, enjoy these next two articles, courtesy of two of our talented writers, Roberto Rojas and Harry Harris. Here is the preview for the game, from the former.

18:05. Edinson Cavani could start for the French side and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will hopefully survive this fixture without leaving due to injury, as the Swede did last year.

18:00. There are rumours that Cesc Fabregas will miss the game, with the Spaniard reportedly picking up an illness in the last week, meaning Ramires could come into the starting line-up. A first European appearance for new signing Juan Cuadrado could be in order. In other news, Diego Costa returns after his three-match ban, Mourinho confirmed.

17:49. PSG face something of an injury crisis, with Lucas Moura, Serge Aurier and Yohan Cabaye all being stretchered off in the weekend's disappointing 2-2 draw with Caen, giving Blanc a selection headache.

17:40. Laurent Blanc told his players not to rise to Jose's 'provocations' on the pitch, telling them that the Portuguese will 'raise the temperature'.

Blanc said, “I know José Mourinho a bit, and I know he’ll raise the temperature on the pitch in this game. So my players need to be cold, they need to be calm, and they mustn’t react even when it is hot out there on the turf. They must stay calm and cold. We can’t afford any more yellow cards. It’s a real test for Marco, but I think he has matured and will cope with it.”

17:27. Jose Mourinho has been speaking to Chelsea's official website, regarding whether he will play Petr Cech or Thibaut Courtois in goal.

Mourinho said, "Chelsea have the two best goalkeepers in the Premier League. For me, easy job. Easy job. I'm very happy with both. Every time one plays, the team are very confident because they know that, behind, they have a top goalkeeper. So easy for me. Petr can start again, but he doesn't know. Neither does. So I can't tell you."

17:18. The two sides met in the quarter-final of this competition last season, when an extremely climatic finale involving the left leg of a gangly Senegalese striker and a 10-man bundle saw Stamford Bridge turn into the Mount Vesuvius of West London and set up a semi-final with eventual runners-up Atletico Madrid for Jose Mourinho's side.

17:10. PSG's campaign hasn't quite been as spectacular as the last, as they sit third (albeit only by a point) in Ligue 1, while a second-placed finish in their Champions League group behind Catalan giants Barcelona meant that Lauren Blanc's Parisiens were thrown right in the deep end of the draw, landing a two-legged tie with one of the best sides in Europe right now.

17:05. Chelsea welcome back the Champions League after two months and with it, their charge for silverware on three fronts. The Premier League table-toppers have enjoyed the best possible start to their season, top of the league, in the last 16 of the Champions League and the Blues go to Wembley on March 1 to contest the final of the Capital One Cup.

17:00. Good evening and welcome to our live coverage of Paris Saint-Germain - Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League Last 16. Stay tuned for pre-match comments, before minute-by-minute commentary, right here on VAVEL UK.
