Leicester City are the new club looking to make a statement staying outside of relegation by grabbing points against Chelsea when they host the champions elect on Wednesday night.

Jose Mourinho's men can move just three points away from the title with a win, though Leicester will be no pushovers - having won four on the bounce. Chelsea, however, look to continue outstanding defensive performances if Leicester come knocking on Thibaut Courtois's door.

In a re-scheduled match because of Chelsea playing Tottenham Hotspur in the Capital One Cup final, both sides come off of gaining  points against clubs like Burnley for Leicester City and Arsenal for Chelsea that are near them in the league standings.

Leicester City, a club that a few weeks ago were being said by many broadcasters or analysts were going to be likely relegated back to the FL Championship, have been proving people wrong with an impressive run of four wins against Burnley, Swansea City, West Brom, and West Ham United.

They currently hold the 17th spot (31 points) with Sunderland right behind them in the 18th spot (30 points) in the relegation zone. The 3-5-2 formation has worked well in recent weeks, seeing Jamie Vardy, Marc Albrighton, and the rest of the squad really affect the success on the pitch for this club.

On the other hand, Chelsea remain comfortable at the top of the table, leading the way with the same consistent starting 11 overall besides the injuries suffered at the striker position to Diego Costa and Loic Remy.

Chelsea have been criticised for being boring due to their "parking the bus" tactics since January when their dominance subsided slightly. Nevertheless, the goal for captain John Terry and manager Jose Mourinho is to win the league, as they have made it seem in post-match conferences after matches. Chelsea could return to their goal-scoring ways though against a statistically weaker side.

Manager Qoutes:

Nigel Pearson:

"It's been very satisfying to get four wins and it gives us a realistic chance," he said. "The only thing that matters is that we're out on the bottom three after 38 games. To do that we have to remain focused. "There is still a lot of football to be played. Every game now has something riding on it. There's lots left to do. "We want to try to win this next game. It will be hard against Chelsea, but there's no reason not to look at it positively. "Chelsea will be strong on Wednesday. We expect them to be at their best and we have to be at our best. Throughout the season our fans have remained positive, but in the last few games in particular, they have inspired us."

Jose Mourinho:

"I think they are going to survive," Mourinho said. "I was surprised with their bad position because they're a good team with good players. I'm not surprised they are out of the relegation zone and I will not be surprised when they keep in the division. They are playing well and the results are coming. We are never complacent, we know that they are a good team and they are a difficult opponent." "I won the treble with Cambiasso, he was fundamental to my golden team and he is one of the players that means a lot to me," Mourinho said. "He is being phenomenal for them and I'm very happy for him. Next season, for sure, he will play for Leicester in the Premier League again."
