It has been a successful week for the international players of Belgium of Bosnia and Herzegovina from Premier League side Chelsea.

Belgium keeps up the pressure

Eden Hazard scored a late winner for Belgium in their eventual 1-0 victory over Cyprus which has kept group B qualification for the Euro 2016 tournament wide open.

Group B leaders Wales’ goalless draw with Israel earlier in the day left the door wide open for the Belgians to keep the pressure on Chris Coleman’s side.

It didn’t look to be heading their way as they remained goalless going into the final four minutes of the match, but on the 86th minute mark the Chelsea forward was hand to fire in from close range from Dries Martens’ cross.

Thibaut Courtois, who played the full 90 minutes managed to keep out Cyprus in the closing embers of the match to secure the three points.

That victory cut Wales’ lead to a single point with two games to play with Israel currently just four points behind the pack in the third position.

Begovic keeps it clean

Chelsea’s backup goalkeeper in Asmir Begovic also had a pretty successful week as he managed to keep a clean sheet in Bosnia’s routine 3-0 victory over Andorra.

That win still leaves Bosnia in fourth in Group B, but the deficit between them and Israel has been cut to two points and still have the chance to finish in the third position.

Kalas unused in Czech win

Blues Youngster Tomas Kalas remained on the substitutes bench during the Czech Republic’s 2-1 away victory in Latvia which helped secure their place in next year's tournament.

Cahill watches from afar

Gary Cahill also remained an unused substitute during England’s routine 6-0 win against San Marino which saw them as the first side apart from the hosts France to qualify for the tournament next summer.

Chelsea get back underway on Saturday, September 12 when they face a trip to Everton .
