The international break saw plenty of Chelsea players feature for their countries in various matches, from friendlies to Euro 2016 Qualifiers.

Cahill performs well at Wembley

England continued their fine form in European qualifiers with a 2-0 win over Switzerland and Gary Cahill completed the full 90 minutes, putting in a solid display at Wembley. The centre-back almost opened the scoring for his country after five minutes but saw his effort saved well by the Swiss goalkeeper.

Meanwhile for Spain, Diego Costa played 61 minutes in their narrow 1-0 victory over Macedonia. Fellow club teammates Pedro, Cesc Fabregas and Cesar Azpilicueta were unused subs for Vicente Del Bosque's side. Despite playing just over an hour, Diego Costa failed to score for the national side although the striker did go close to doubling their advantage.

Elsewhere, Willian put in an excellent performance for Brazil in a friendly against the United States. The winger recorded the assist for Brazil's opener and was all over the pitch, showing off his highly-praised work ethic and skills before being substituted at half-time. Brazil would go on to defeat the Americans 4-1 on the night.

New signing features for Jamaica

Deadline day signing Michael Hector featured once again for Jamaica as they left it late to beat Nicaragua in their World Cup Qualifier, coming from behind to secure a 4-3 win on aggregate. Under 21 players Nathan Ake and Kenedy were on show for their respective countries of the Netherlands and Brazil.

Ake was deployed at left back for the Dutch and played the full 90 minutes in a 1-0 win over Turkey in an U21 European Championship Qualifier. Kenedy's Brazil succumbed to a close 2-1 defeat to France in an international friendly.

The return of club football will be welcomed by the fans but a successful international period for the Chelsea contingent is always positive news.
