Guus Hiddink will be hoping that his Chelsea side can keep up their excellent run of form when they host Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

Back on track

It is impossible to say that it hasn’t been a poor season by the Premier League champions' impeccable standards, which has seen the dismissal of legendary manager Jose Mourinho.

However, they seem to be back on track since Hiddink made his return to Stamford Bridge, as the Blues remain unbeaten since the Dutchman’s return and made it ten games unbeaten on Wednesday night.

The Blues made a tough trip to Vicarage Road to take on Watford but left empty handed when they drew 0-0.

Chelsea were dominated in the first period but were very much in the match for the second half, with the best chance falling to Diego Costa late on. However, he was denied and Chelsea had to settle for the point. That has left them in 13th and will be hopeful to continue their climb up the table on Sunday.

Team news

Hiddink revealed in his pre-match press conference that the only absentees from his squad for the visit of Louis Van Gaal’s side would be strikers Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy, who continue to struggle with injuries.

There were concerns for winger Pedro who missed training earlier in the week with a groin problem, but he is expected to play some part. New signing Alexandre Pato isn’t expected to feature for a few weeks as the Brazilian builds his fitness.

Despite his ongoing contract fiasco, John Terry is expected to start along with Eden Hazard and Oscar. The current PFA player of the year still looking for his first league goal of the campaign.

Chelsea predicted XI - Courtois; Ivanovic, Terry, Zouma, Azpilicueta; Mikel, Matic; Willian, Fabregas, Hazard; Costa.
