It has been reported by the former coach of Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri that he will become the new boss of Chelsea in the summer.

Dead on

The reports come from Allegri's former mentor Giovanni Galeone, who coached the Italian at Pescara

The 75-year-old believes that Allegri is certain to move to England in the summer after recieving a "fantastic" offer from Roman Abramovich, and backs him to succeed at Stamford Bridge

He told Radio Radio that he believes the 48-year-old will "go to Chelsea" and will do "very well", claiming he is "one of the best five coaches in the world" and believes that it "makes no sense" to stay in Italy.

He continued, adding that he sees him going to Premier League as the propsed offer from Abramovich is "really fantastic" and believes that his former player is doing "incredible things" even with Juventus' slow start to the campaign.

Ruled it out

Rumours linking the Italian with a move to London in the summer having bubbling under the surface over the last few weeks.

This has been fuelled by current interim manager Guus Hiddink refusing to commit his future beyond the summer, admiiting he had recieved an offer from the Chinese Super League

However Juventus director Beppe Marotta looked to have extinguished the stories on Monday, insiting he would not be leaving his post and dismissed any move to Stamford Bridge.

He told Sky Sports that the club had a "great rapport" with Allegri and the Turin outfit should "focus" on the "crucial moment of the season" that they currently sit in.

Marotta also says that contracts are "not as important" as the "rapport between people" and believes that the conditions with Allegri are there to continue.

Chelsea will take on Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, February 13 with kick-off at 5:30PM BST.
