Earlier today it was released that Monaco striker Lacina Traore will undergo a medical at Everton in order to complete a loan deal that will keep him on Merseyside until the end of the season. Over the last few days there had been rumours around various social networks that Traore was going to move to the capital to play for West Ham United. To the annoyance of Hammers manager Sam Allardyce he admitted in his press conference on Saturday that he and West Ham United had agreed a deal but said that ‘Everton can apply for a work permit now’.

The striker who is nicknamed to ‘The Gentle Giant’ will help ‘The Toffees’ at the top of the pitch as they have only one fit recognised striker in Romelu Lukaku. Nikica Jelavic has just been sold to Hull City and it appears that manager Roberto Martinez will be holding out until the summer before purchasing a permanent centre forward. Monaco are keen to loan the Ivorian as they have just purchased him earlier this month and with Traore being still reasonably young the French side are motivated to get some good experience under his belt.

His most notable goal would be the one he scored in the UEFA Europa League against Liverpool when the Russian side defeated ‘The Reds’. During the 2012-13 season the Ivorian scored twelve goals in twenty-four appearances.

It is expected that the Ivorian will sign for Everton in the next coming days due to him being spotted in a local supermarket with his picture being presented on various social networks.
