Saturday saw Everton guarantee a spot in next seasons Europa league campaign. For some clubs the competition is seen as a waste of time but not for Everton. The fans have been waiting to be back in Europe for a long time. Champions League qualification would have been ideal, but failure to qualify was down to Everton's weaker squad.

Bill Kenwright, the club chairman will be hoping to sign Lukaku and Gareth Barry permanently before any other business is discussed. There is an approximate 20 million price tag on Romelu Lukaku but some Everton fans are unwilling to see the club spend such an amount. Tottenham and Chelsea are said to be interested in the Manchester City loanee, Gareth Barry. If he does choose to leave for Everton or any other club he will have to take a pay cut.

The Toffees are reportedly interested in Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony, who has scored 16 goals this season. He is a similar to Lukaku in his attributes. He is big and powerful and is seen as a target man. Man United's, Chicarito is also a candidate to be on Roberto Martinez's list. He is a true goal scorer and an absolute nightmare to mark for any defender. A goal scorer is something Everton have missed in previous season's. Loic Remy is on the list of players clubs will be looking at also this summer. He's unlikely to sign for Newcastle given the turbulence at the club. Even if Romelu Lukaku stays, Everton will need to look for another striker to compete in the league and Europe.
