22:00. Unfortunately, that's all we've got time for this evening. I've been Oliver Emmerson taking you through Everton's 2-1 victory over Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League. Until next time on VAVEL UK, goodbye.

21:57. Man of the match- Romelu Lukaku: The Belgian striker was superb all night, putting in one of the finest performances I've seen him deliver. His touch was excellent, as was his strength. He set up Naismith for Everton's opener, and scored the crucial penalty to give his side a victory.

21:55. Goals from Steven Naismith and Romelu Lukaku give Everton a lead to take over to Ukraine, as the Blues responded well to come back from Oleh Gusev's opening goal.

Full time- Everton 2-1 Dynamo Kiev

90: Yellow card for Mbokani as he jumped into James McCarthy. It didn't look very sporting, and Everton don't think that a yellow card is punishment enough. The Irish midfielder is okay to carry on, as we enter three minutes of added time.

87: Everton know that they've got Kiev on the ropes here and are looking for a third desperately! Osman flicks Lukaku's cross wide!

85: Dynamo Kiev substitution- Veloso off, Chumak on.

82: Not a great penalty by Romelu Lukaku but it goes in all the same, just sneaking in down the middle. Everton deserve their lead, and they have it with less than 10 minutes to go! Everton 2-1 Dynamo Kiev.

GOAL!!! 2-1 EVERTON AS LUKAKU CONVERTS THE PENALTY!

81: Danilo Silva stretches to block Leon Osman's cross and handles it. Lukaku to take!

PENALTY TO EVERTON!

80: Ten minutes left and Arouna Kone is inches away from latching onto Garbutt's cross, agonising for Everton.

75: Dynamo Kiev substitution- Gusev off, Kravets on.

74: Everton substitution- Barkley off, Osman on.

72: Lukaku shuffled and finds room for a low shot on the edge of the area, but it is well saved. Dynamo Kiev can't seem to string three passes together at the moment, worrying signs for the visitors.

70: 20 minutes left here and it looks like Everton are going for the win! If it ends this way then the Blues will have to score in Kiev in order to have a chance of qualification.

69: Goodison is almost silenced! The ball drops to the dangerous Yarmolenko on the edge of the area, the winger drops his shoulder but his curling effort flies over.

66: Dynamo Kiev substitution- Buyalskiy off, Garmash on.

64: Everton substitution- Mirallas off, Kone on.

62: Mbokani has Dynamo Kiev's first chance of the second half, but heads over from close range.

59: Ross Barkley tip toes around defenders on the edge of the box but his shot is blocked, before Seamus Coleman's header drops just wide from a ball in.

56: Ever since scoring Everton have looked the better team, and their assault on the Kiev goal continues in the form of an Alcaraz long ranger. Kiev have barely seen the ball this half.

52: Luke Garbutt forces Shovskovskiy into a punch with a powerful free kick. Lukaku can't convert Naismith's flick on from the corner.

48: Everton move the ball well in midfield and it looked for a moment as if Barkley was going to find Naismith in behind the defence, before Dragovic produced a brilliant interception.

46: We're underway in the second half, can either side find a winner?

KICK OFF

21:00. Half times in the 20:05 kick offs are as follows- Fiorentina 1-0 Roma, Villarreal 0-2 Sevilla, Napoli 2-1 Dinamo Moskva. We haven't got long until kick off in the second half at Goodison Park.

20:55. Some full time scores from Europe earlier today were- Zenit 2-0 Torino, Club Brugge 2-1 Besiktas, Dnipro 1-0 Ajax, Wolfsburg 3-1 Inter Milan.

20:50. Half time here and the score is Everton 1-1 Dynamo Kiev. The visitors looked much the better side early on and took a deserved lead, however Everton responded well, equalising through Steven Naismith and will probably feel that they should be ahead here at half time.

HALF TIME

44: What is Mirallas doing? The winger takes it around the 'keeper on the right hand side of the box and has all the time in the world to pick out a teammate in the centre, but hammers the ball straight into Antunes.

40: Romelu Lukaku brilliantly shields the ball from not two but three Dynamo Kiev players, before laying off Steven Naismith who cooly places the ball into the net to level things up! Everton 1-1 Dynamo Kiev.

GOAL! THEY HAVE THE EQUALISER! STEVEN NAISMITH!

38: Jagielka off the line! From the resulting corner, Phil Jagielka rises brilliantly and Danilo Silva clears his header off the line. Everton are getting closer to an equaliser!

37: Lukaku hits the bar! A powerful effort from the Belgian is apparently saved by the goalkeeper, despite there seemingly being no contact as the ball travelled onto the crossbar. Corner kick.

36: Better from the hosts, as good passing play see's Kevin Mirallas win a free kick on the edge of the box. It looks like Lukaku fancies taking it...

34: Everton now asleep! Drama here as Alcaraz almost gifts Kiev another goal with a terrible backpass to Howard, which Mbokani comes very close to intercepting.

33: Lukaku misses a great chance! The Everton striker chases down the Dynamo Kiev goalkeeper who fluffs his clearance, giving the Belgian a great chance to score from 40 yards. He misses wildly, his effort way wide. Kevin Mirallas was in a good position too, and he's not happy that Lukaku didn't pass.

30: Yarmolenko leading Luke Garbutt a merry dance down the right wing there, with Mbokani meeting his cross with a header that is blocked by Jagielka.

28: Better from Everton, Romelu Lukaku using his power and pace to find room on the left wing. His cut-back is cleared however, with Everton's corner resulting to nothing.

22: Kiev almost causing another scare, as James McCarthy is forced to dive in well to block the shot of Miguel Veloso.

19: Everton have struggled to respond to going behind and Kiev are keeping the ball well, with their visiting fans in full flow.

14: Dynamo Kiev have taken the lead and its a soft goal for Everton to concede. Oleh Gusev was the first to react to a corner whipped into the front post, and volleyed home with ease. Nobody picked him up and Everton will be disappointed with their defending there. Dynamo Kiev have that important away goal!

GOAL!!! DYNAMO KIEV HAVE TAKEN THE LEAD!

7: The corner was poor, and Mbokani almost got his head to a good delivery from the left wing on the counter attack. Kiev are looking good early on here.

6: Ross Barkley gets away with a cheeky push in the back to earn Everton a corner, at least they think it does before the referee inexplicably awards a throw in. Coleman now does force a corner, on the right hand side.

3: Early trouble for Everton as Antunes is allowed room to deliver a powerful cross. The left-back's ball in avoided everyone and Tim Howard could only beat the ball away.

KICK OFF

20:02. The players are out of the tunnel, kick off is next!

19:59. Just abit of added incentive for both sides, the winners of this competition are guaranteed a UEFA Champions League place.

19:55. Just ten minutes until kick off! The sides have finished their warm ups and will be recieving their final instructions ahead of the game.

19:45. Prediction? I'm going to have faith in the home side and go for Everton 2-1 Dynamo Kiev. Tweet me your predictions @OlliGing!

19:35. Everton captain Phil Jagielka has spoke fairly strongly in the pre match programme, saying, "We need Goodison Park to be at its intimidating best, as players we don't need telling that you are all as frustrated as we are that things aren't going as well as we'd like."

19:27. STAT: Tonight's referee, Spaniard Carlos Velasco Carballo has averaged 6.6 bookings per game he has taken control of this season!

19:20. For Dynamo Kiev, the danger is surely to come from the wings in the form of Andriy Yarmolenko. The 25 year old is Ukraine's star player and has the pace and abilty to cause Everton problems tonight.

19:10. That's an interesting Everton side! John Stones hasn't got over his stomach problem so Antolin Alcaraz gets a place in defence, whilst it remains to be seen whether Steven Naismith will partner Romelu Lukaku, or play in a deeper role.

19:03. Everton subs- Joel, Browning, Besic, Gibson, Atsu, Osman, Kone.

19:01. Dynamo Kiev- Shovskovskiy, Danilo Silva, Veloso, Antunes, Dragovic, Yarmolenko, Sydorchuk, Gusev, Vida, Buyalskiy, Mbokani.

19:00. Everton- Howard; Garbutt, Jagielka, Alcaraz, Coleman; McCarthy, Barry, Mirallas, Barkley; Naismith, Lukaku.

TEAM NEWS

18:55. Not long until we hear confirmed team news, with a crowd of around 40,000 expected at Goodison Park it should be some atmosphere!

18:50. STAT: The last time Kiev reached the last 16 stage of the Europa League was in 2010/11, where they defeated Manchester City. A bad omen for Everton, perhaps?

18:40. Rebrov was quoted as saying, "I'm always watching the Premier League. Here, when you play, all teams are always working on the pitch like crazy and if not the supporters will tell them – that's the difference between the Premier League and other championships. Jeremain Lens sustained a serious injury and that is the reason why he couldn't come today."

18:35. Dynamo Kiev's manager Sergei Rebrov has been talking up the Barclays Premier League ahead of the game, despite the poor performances of English teams in Europe.

18:30. The visitors are missing Dutch winger Jermaine Lens through injury, whilst Sergei Rybalka is suspended. There is good news for Kiev though after Andriy Yarmolenko's suspension was reduced from three games to just one, meaning he can play tonight.

18:25. A little over half an hour until the team news will be released, however we already known that loanee Aaron Lennon is unavailable to play due to his performances for Tottenham in this competition. Leighton Baines won't be fit to return from a thigh injury, whilst young centre back John Stones has a virus.

18:20. "The situation in the Premier League is completely different to what we are going to face on Thursday. We feel we have enjoyed playing in Europe. It's not like we have sneaked into this position. We have beaten teams like Lille and Wolfsburg," said Martinez.

18:15. Manager Roberto Martinez added to the Scotsman's comments, speaking about the strange difference between his side's poor league form and excellent European form.

18:10. Everton attacker Steven Naismith has been speaking about the club's optimism for this competition, saying "We believe we can go all the way to the final and win it, but we're at the stage now where every team is a quality team."

18:05. Everton are Britain's only remaining team in the Europa League after Tottenham, Celtic and Liverpool were all knocked out of the last round. They could soon be the only British team left in Europe at all, after Chelsea were knocked out of the Champions League by PSG last night, with Arsenal and Manchester City looking likely to follow them out of the competition.

18:00. Since losing their first leg game against Guingamp, Kiev have won four games in a row and find themselves top of the Ukranian Premier League.

17:55. Everton come into the game off the back of consecutive losses, both 2-0 defeats, away to Stoke City and Arsenal in the Barclays Premier League.

17:50. Expect goals tonight! The two sides have seen 45 goals in the 16 Europa League games they have played this term.

17:45. Dynamo Kiev topped a somewhat easier group than Everton, beating Aalborg BK to first place with 15 points. They started the knockout rounds with a thrilling tie against Guingamp, winning 4-3 on aggregate.

17:40. Everton have had a very good European campaign as of yet, topping a group that included Wolfsburg and Lille. They convincingly overcame Young Boys in the last round, crushing the Swiss side 7-2 on aggregate.

17:30. Hello and welcome to live commentary of Everton v Dynamo Kiev here on VAVEL UK. The sides are meeting in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League last 16, with kick off set for 8:05PM.
