Reports have suggested that a cash plus player deal has been accepted for Jordan Rhodes. Hull City will apparently part with £11.5m in total with Alex Bruce also heading to Lancashire as part of the deal.

Rhodes, who has scored 51 goals in 92 appearances for Blackburn, is apparently keen on the move after an initial £8m bid was rejected last night. Reports suggest that Steve Bruce is willing to let his son go the other way as part of the deal as Gary Bowyer had previously been interested in the player due to a lack of defensive players within the squad. It would seem as a result that Hull are willing to spend practically all of the money received in the Shane Long deal to Southampton in order to replace him.

What Rhodes does lack in pace he makes up for with his natural goal scoring ability. Scoring 1 goal in every 1.9 games the Scottish international has a knack of finding the Onion bag and its something Hull will desperately need if they are to stay up this season.
