With both teams experiencing differing starts to their respective Premier League campaigns, the clash at the King Power Stadium is already a mouth-watering affair.

Leicester City have started the new season in fantastic form and could even make history by winning  their first three Premier League games in a row (which has never been done). Having already dispatched of Sunderland and West Ham so far this season, the Foxes are bristling with confidence under new manager Claudio Ranieri.

On the other hand, Mauricio Pochettino's men couldn't have kicked off the new season any differently. The North London outfit have only managed to accrue one point so far this season after succumbing to defeat against Manchester United and surrendering a two-goal lead against Stoke City.

Goals aplenty?

Although the Foxes are sitting in the lofty position of second in the Premier League table, Tottenham Hotspur will present a completely different challenge to West Ham and Sunderland.

In the past, the Midlands outfit have only gained victories in 33 out of 102 possible games (with Spurs winning 51).  Also, Leicester haven't won on home turf against Tottenham Hotspur in the top flight since 2002. However, despite the relative difficulty of this fixture, the clash will guarantee entertainment for supporters and neutrals alike.

In the 102 previous meetings (in all competitions) between the two sides there has been a combined total of 381 goals scored. This trend even stretches back to the first meeting between the two sides in 1914, an amazing 5-5 draw in the FA Cup.

But, over 100 years later, the goals still haven't dried up. In three clashes between the two last season, 13 balls hit the back of the net, with most of them being utilised in an entertaining clash at White Hart Lane that ended 4-3 in the Lilywhites' favour.

Hunting a former fox

Despite the positivity that the Foxes are currently playing with, they will need to keep an eye out for a former player who could cause them some potential problems. Following a loan spell at the King Power Stadium over two years ago, Harry Kane has progressed rapidly. Having scored over 30 goals in his breakthrough campaign last season, there is a large amount of expectation on the Englishman's young shoulders.

However, the England U21 international managed to score four goals against his former club last season so he may be a good bet to score against Leicester on Saturday. So, in order to continue their stellar start to the season, the Foxes' defence will be keen to keep Kane quiet.

Team News

With Leicester still consistently impressing, the 'Tinkerman' has failed to live up to his reputation so far and it would be surprising to see the Italian making major changes anytime soon. With Riyad Mahrez and his fellow team-mates playing outstandingly, another unchanged team may make an appearance at the King Power Stadium.

Despite signing Switzerland captain Gokhan Inler earlier this week, the Midlands outfit may again field the duo of Danny Drinkwater and Andy King after another dominant display. The two were crucial in allowing Leicester to take all three points from Upton Park and could possibly retain their place in the team.

Another player who will probably stake a claim for a starting berth yet again is Japanese international Shinji Okazaki. The hard-working centre-forward put in a great display in the capital and was rewarded with his first goal for his new club following his summer move from Mainz 05

However, another new signing may not be able to make an appearance at the weekend. Austrian left-back Christian Fuchs picked up a slight knock in training so may not be fit to take on Tottenham as well as the long-term absentee Matty James. Tom Lawrence will also not be available after he completed a loan move to Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers.

On the other hand, Tottenham also have injury problems of their own. England winger Andros Townsend is out with an ankle injury and will not be fit in time to play in the East Midlands. But, the aforementioned Kane is expected to be fit after recovering from a tight calf.

Despite the absence of Townsend, Tottenham fans will be eager to see their new signing Clinton N'Jie in action for the first time after he received international clearance from the FA. But, whether Pochettino risks his new signing from the start remains to be seen. There is also great intrigue as to whether Eric Dier and Moussa Dembele will retain their places in the Tottenham midfield.

Predicted Line-Ups:

Leicester City- Schmeichel, De Laet, Morgan, Huth, Schlupp, Albrighton, King, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Vardy, Okazaki

Tottenham Hotspur- Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Mason, Dembele, Eriksen, Chadli, Kane
