Liverpool Football Club have today announced that academy youngster, Sokolik has left the club for the foreseeable future, as he joins Southend on-loan till the end of the season. 

The 20-year-old will switch to Phil Brown's League Two outfit and could make his first start later tonight in his new sides clash with Scunthorpe. 

The towering centre back was born in Czech Republic and moved to the UK in 2009 to pursue his dream of playing in the Premier League. Sokolik played in the U18s in his debut season, but has since seen his hard work and determination earn himself a place in the U21 squad, including other promising centre backs, Stephen Sama, Rafa Paez, and Lloyd Jones. 

The fierce centre back, who once came up against, now, West Brom striker, Anichebe, a tough opponent who gave the Czech an early reminder of the chaos that is English football.
