Liverpool kicked off pre season procedures with a tasty encounter with a highly rated European outfit, in the shape of Brondby. The game proved to be a good workout for several of the first team squad and also gave Rodgers a great indicator into what youngsters he feels have the capacity to make an impact with the first team.  

Brad Jones - not much to deal with in opening 45 minutes, possibly could have done better with Brondby opener, but that's being harsh and highly critical. 6/10.

Martin Kelly - switched to CB after early injury to Ilori. Solid enough, good to see him get the minutes. 6/10

Tiago Ilori - unfortunately injured very early on.

Cameron Stewart - introduced early. Lively first impression, willing to work hard, good work down the right flank. 6/10

Daniel Agger - nice homecoming, great reception. Standard performance, nothing to deal with. 6/10.

Brad Smith - great promise down the left flank. Blistering pace, great work rate, link up with Coutinho excellent at times. 7/10.

Lucas Leiva - did the simple things well. Not overly noticeable. 5/10.

Jordan Rossiter - great desire, energy and passionate performance. Encouraging signs overall. 6/10

Joao Carlos Teixeira - threat on the ball, composed and confident. Link up play promising. 6/10

Suso - poor clearance for Brondby opener, however found good positions offensively. 6/10

Philippe Coutinho - lively, threatening, always looking to make something happen, as always. Seemed ready to get going. Assuring performance. 8/10

Fabio Borini - struggled to make chances happen or give midfielders an option, despite the hard work. 6/10

Danny Ward - introduced very late on.

Andre Wisdom - good to have him back after his loan spells. Solid and willing to work. 6/10.

Martin Skrtel - solid, no nonsence. Nothing to deal with, no threat causing real problems. 6/10.

Lloyd Jones - confident 45 minutes from the youngster. Good distribution and clever at the back with regards to positioning. 7/10.

Jon Flanagan - first game back since an excellent season. Good work rate, good run out. 6/10.

Joe Allen - composed and controlling of possession was good. Made some good runs beyond Brondby defence too. Helped younger lads out well. 6/10

Conor Coady - held psition well and showed good discipline. Could be involved a lot more in the near future, should it continue. 6/10.

Adam Phillips - shows great potential with the ball at his feet and in a delivery. Fantastic effort for such a young lad. 6/10.

Kristoffer Peterson - scored the equaliser after the keeper pushed out. Lively and potent threat going forward. Has pace in his locker and possesses real flair. 7/10.

Krisztian Adorjan - often quite impressive, often went missing. Didn't really go to plan for the playmaker, more chances needed to be created via him. 5/10.

Jordon Ibe - impressive and outstanding yet again. Great pace and work rate, not afraid to run at an opponent and cause problems. Dribbles with ball close to his feet and draws in defender excellently. Provided assist. 8/10.
