Liverpool landed at Logan International Airport in Boston last night as they prepare for the beginning of their US tour, which will see them play four games against varied opposition in numerous stadiums across the country.

First, Fenway Park will host one of the Reds' open training sessions on the 22nd of July, before they play their first game against A.S. Roma in the same stadium the next night. Afterwards, Liverpool will take part in the International Champions Cup, sponsored by Guinness.

In the competition, Brendan Rodgers' side will play Olympiacos on July 27th in Chicago at Solder Field Stadium. They will then travel to New York to face reigning Premier League champions Manchester City in the Yankee Stadium on the 30th, before a final trip to Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium where they will play against AC Milan on the 2nd of August.

The Reds have taken a 33-man squad to America, after the late inclusion of Kristoffer Peterson after his good form in Liverpool's first two friendlies - netting two of his club's three pre-season goals so far. The 19-year-old replaced Tiago Ilori, who picked up an injury against Brøndby earlier last week and has had to miss out.

Additionally, all of the Reds' World Cup stars have met up with the squad that featured in Denmark and Preston to fly stateside, including captain Steven Gerrard. He is joined by Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge, Mamadou Sakho, Pepe Reina and others who played in Brazil throughout the course of the tournament.

The squad in full is as follows:

Goalkeepers - Simon Mignolet, Pepe Reina, Brad Jones, Danny Ward

Defenders - Daniel Agger, Sebastián Coates, Jose Enrique, Jon Flanagan, Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtel, Martin Kelly, Andre Wisdom, Kolo Touré, Jack Robinson, Glen Johnson

Midfielders - Joe Allen, Adam Lallana, Lucas Leiva, João Carlos Teixeira, Emre Can, Philippe Coutinho, Steven Gerrard, Suso, Conor Coady, Adam Phillips, Jordan Henderson,

Forwards - Fabio Borini, Daniel Sturridge, Rickie Lambert, Lazar Marković, Jordon Ibe, Raheem Sterling, Kristoffer Peterson

Upon arrival, Brendan Rodgers told LFCTour.com: "We're delighted to have returned to the United States, and I am very proud to bring the Liverpool squad to see some of our most loyal and passionate fans in the world.

"Personally, I have fond memories of our last visit to America in 2012 as it was my first pre-season in charge of this great club.

"Two years on, we're really excited about meeting some of our incredible supporters face to face once again and demonstrating exactly why we are the greatest football family in the world," said the boss, ahead of his third year as Liverpool manager.

"There's a lot of hard work in store over the next two weeks, and this trip will be very important in terms of preparing the players for the challenges ahead in 2014-15 but we are looking forward to connecting with our fans in Boston, Chicago, New York and Charlotte."

In addition, Joe Allen has spoken of his excitement of representing the Reds across the Atlantic.

"I'm really looking forward to it," the Welshman said. "I signed just after the tour two years ago, so I missed out on that one. I've been waiting for this one to come around.

"They are all great cities, to be fair. I've been to New York once before. So, I think Boston - my parents have been there and said it's a really nice city.

"Obviously I'm looking forward to going to Fenway Park as well, I've heard a lot about it and the baseball team is pretty famous.

"I had a chance to look a game at the Yankee Stadium before, so I know what it's like and what the atmosphere is like. I'm sure that will be a great game to be involved in.

"There are some tough teams that we're coming up against; it should be a great test for us with the start of the season coming around."

With Champions League football back on the agenda for Liverpool in 2014-15, Allen welcomed the prospect of competing against a number of Europe's elite.

He continued: "You want to test yourself against some of the top teams - that's the best way to get ready for what is going to be a tough season.

"We've got the Premier League but also the Champions League games to look forward to. The tougher the opposition, the better we'll be come the start of the season hopefully."

Meanwhile, Dejan Lovren and Loïc Rémy could join the squad in America, with deals expected to be completed within the next few days.
