With the recent news emerging that Daniel Sturridge is once again set to face a long spell on the sidelines news outlets are now reporting that Liverpool will cut short Belgian hotshot Divock Origi's loan with Lille in January.

Fans are concerned that things are happening all too quickly for the 19 year old but while those concerns are fair there is still ample excuse to recall him.

Here's 5 reasons why Liverpool should recall the starlet:

1. Lille are suffering even with him

Currently sitting 14th in Ligue 1 with 16 points Lille are having a horrendous season. Their football is unimaginative and against Everton they were wholly incapable of finding Origi, even when the 19 year old was in considerable space.

Liverpool themselves have seldom impressed this season but whereas the Reds have looked disjointed because of unfamiliarity Lille look devoid of any idea or purpose.

Staying with the French outfit would do little to improve Origi as a player.

2. He's an improvement on Mario Balotelli

Let's get things straight, Mario Balotelli is a very talented individual. Unfortunately for most managers that talent is seldom shown over 90 minutes. Four months into his Liverpool career it has become clear that the Italian doesn't suit leading the line on his own for the reds. That's fine when Sturridge is fit and available but that doesn't look like happening any time soon. Right now Liverpool need an alternative to the Italian who isn't Rickie Lambert - who looks like a competition winner at the moment.

Origi provides that alternative. Sure, he's a raw prospect but the alternative is two profligate Italians and a 32 year old - at the very least he could do no worse.

3. He'll get Liverpool up the pitch

Pace has become a necessity these days - particularly with forwards. When teams who flourish on quick breaks lose their fast striker they can quite often become blunt in attack. This is a problem Liverpool have found themselves with since the injury to Sturridge.

All too often there's no option to run in behind and that has allowed the opposition to work their way up the pitch which has further exposed Liverpool's fragile defence.

A mobile alternative to Sturridge would allow Liverpool to once more provide a threat on the break and an outlet for the creative force of Coutinho. He'd also releave some of the pressure on the defence.

4. He'll ease pressure on Sterling

The England protege has struggled to deal with the responsibilty of leading Liverpool's attacks in the absence of Sturridge, often finding himself in a position where he is forced to create, run in behind and defend from the front. Having to do so much work has left the youngster overworked and tired. The arrival of Origi would ease some of the creative burden on the 19 year old Kingston native and allow him to express himself in the manner which led Brendan Rodgers to hail him as the best young talent in Europe.

5. There's few alternatives

Realistically who else can Liverpool sign in January who isn't overpriced or overrated? The likes of Berahino come at a domestic premium and don't carry any more talent than Origi whilst more established names like that of Edinson Cavani may bring a few goals but they'll bring very little else to justify the vast financial outlay.

Most top players who would improve Liverpool's attacking woes are tied down to long term contracts and have no intention of leaving their current clubs.

Marco Reus is one name who could come in, but there has been very little evidence to suggest that Liverpool are interested in the German or could have the lure to pull him away from Dortmund nor does he address the gap left by Sturridge as the spearhead of Liverpools attack.
