Spanish striker Fernando Torres has been linked with a sensational return to former club Liverpool.

The 30-year-old has struggled to find his previous goal scoring form since leaving Anfield in 2011 and is currently participating in a two-year loan stint at AC Milan, where he has scored just one goal in 10 appearances.

Many newspapers reports have suggested that Milan want to end the loan deal early and Liverpool are seen as possible suitors for barron Spaniard. Chelsea, Liverpool and Milan are all yet to comment on the speculation surrounding Torres, which leaves the topic open to conversation.

Liverpool, too, have been struggling to score goals recently and are said to be in the market for a striker following Daniel Sturridge's long term injury. The Anfield side prematurely exited the Champions League in midweek and found themselves continuously falling in the Premier League.

Brendan Rodgers is one of the favourites to be the next manager sacked in the Premier League and needs a super signing to save his job in the eyes of most football pundits.
