Information has been released that states Liverpool full back Glen Johnson tore a muscle in his groin during Sunday's game v Manchester United, with Liverpool's medics predicting Johnson will miss at least a month due to the injury. Johnson left the pitch clutching his groin after 25 minutes on Sunday, his injury the latest in a run of bad news for Liverpool.

The defender, who is out of contract at the end of the season, will have a scan to reveal the extent of the injury. Johnson has scored one goal this season, a header in a 1-0 win against Stoke City at Anfield.

With Jon Flanagan not expected to return until Mid-January, it leaves loanee Javier Manquillo as Liverpool's only recognised right back for the festive period.
