Simon Mignolet has set his sights on a trophy winning end to the season following Liverpool's Capital One Cup exit at the hands of Chelsea. Mignolet was in good form and saved the Reds on numerous occasions before Branislav Ivanovic secured Chelsea's passage with an extra time header. Liverpool are now left with the FA Cup and Europa League to compete in, whilst they battle for Champions League qualification in the Premier League.

Mignolet, speaking after the loss, said "Everyone is dissapointed when you go out of a competition that you want to win, and especially with the effort and performances that we out in over the two legs. We definately deserved more than what we got. But we have to accept it and move on, and make sure that we go again in the other competitions that we're still playing in.

"The performances over the two games we played were excellent and I don't think anybody can be disappointed with their own individual performance. But, obviously when you out out, straight after the game everybody is disappointed, because you want to win the competition."

Mignolet's peformances have come under criticism this season with him enduring a spell out of the team until Brad Jones was injured. Since recovering he has improved drastically in form and not been dropped.

"It's difficult at this moment in tme. I wanted us to go through and win. In the next couple of days, I'll analyse the game and take the positives ad negatives out of it, like I've always done. The most important thing is that we have to go again on Saturday in the Premier League and then the FA Cup after that. We have to pick ourseves up and go again."
