According to Spanish newspaper AS, 21-year-old Villarreal striker Luciano Vietto has attracted the interest of Premier League side Liverpool, among other European clubs. The Argentinian wonderkid's agent Jorge Cysterpiller confirmed the reports in the Spanish news outlet, stating the youngster is being watched by many clubs across Europe.

He had this to say: "We know that a lot of big clubs are watching Luciano Vietto. There is a lot of competition for him; he could sign for Liverpool, we know that he is admired by the Reds, as well as Real Madrid and two Bundesliga clubs. I think he could leave Villarreal in the summer.

Vietto was quoted as saying the following: "If these great teams come forward and make an offer we'll see. The offer would first have to be very good, but it would be very good for me and good for Villarreal.

If The Reds have their sights set on landing the youth talent, they'll have fierce competition on their hands. He's already a big-name in Spain given his impressive performances for the Yellow Submarine, and Real are likely to make an approach also. A transfer fee of around £15million pounds or above is expected to be enough to start transfer negotiations, in the summer transfer window - it would be a massive coup to get Vietto's signature, at only 21 years of age, he has serious potential to be world-class in the not too distant future.
