Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has addressed fears of an injury by announcing he is back in full training.

The Reds' goalkeeper saved Wayne Rooney's penalty in a 2-1 loss against Manchester United, but not before the English international seemed to accidentally catch his ankle earlier in the game.

The Belgian joined up with his international teammates and had several scans to determine the severity of the knock, but has revealed on social media that he is fully fit.

The 26-year-old is currently second to Thibaut Courtois for Marc Wilmots' side, as they gear up to face Cyprus on Saturday and Israel the following Tuesday.

Mignolet tweeted: "Back to full fitness since yesterday. Gym session this morning, last training before #belcyp later today. #ready"

The news comes after Martin Skrtel received a three-match ban for an incident in the same game against United, whilst unconfirmed reports suggest Daniel Sturridge's hip muscle tear could see him out of action for up to a month.
