The emotional expressions on the faces of the Liverpool faces said it all not just after full-time, but when Philippe Coutinho's drive from inside the box struck the back of the net - as the Reds' booked a place in the FA Cup semi-finals.
The Reds have watched their UEFA Champions League qualification hopes take a mighty blow in their last two games, and Brendan Rodgers' side were no doubt relieved to have overcome the challenge of Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night.
But Lucas Leiva may be more glad than most. The Brazilian was devastated to miss the Reds' last three trips to Wembley Stadium - including their Carling Cup final triumph back in 2012, which he missed with a serious knee injury.
Having recently returned from injury to take up a holding midfield role against Gary Bowyer's Rovers, Lucas is hoping that he can remain fit and available for the trip down south in 10 days' time.
"Unfortunately I got an injury before we got to Wembley," he said to Liverpoolfc.com after full-time. "So I missed [the chance to play there].
"Hopefully I'll be fit and be able to play at Wembley. I've never played there, so it will be a very good experience and after many years here, to have that chance is amazing.
"I think everyone could see how hard we worked. We knew it was going to be a very hard game in difficult conditions, but I think we did well and we are so happy to get to Wembley and hopefully get to the final."
It was Lucas' compatriot, Philippe Coutinho, who was again the FA Cup hero for the Reds. The Liverpool no.10 sent the 7,000 travelling supporters behind the goal into euphoria as his unstoppable strike soared past Simon Eastwood.
The diminutive Brazilian was the man who secured Liverpool's passage into the quarter-finals when he arrowed a spectacular dipping strike from the edge of the area in the dying minutes of a replay away at Bolton Wanderers.
But neither strike surprised Lucas, who insists that Coutinho has the ability of a "top" player.
"I have known him for a very long time and I know what he's capable of doing," insisted Lucas.
"He's becoming an even bigger player for the club and he's got a long way to go in terms of age and experience, but he's already right there with the top players."
