Liverpool are listening to loan offers for promising Academy youngster Ryan Kent, with several Championship interested in his services.

The 18-year-old fared well with Brendan Rodgers' side in pre-season, including impressive cameos against Brisbane Roar and Swindon Town.

But though the Northern Irishman has previously stated he may afford opportunities to the younger members of his squad in the Europa League this season, he is willing to allow the Oldham-born forward the opportunity to play regular first-team football.

And whilst Swindon - who currently have three Liverpool loanees on their books - have expressed an interest, Kent is likely to make a temporary move to a second-tier English team.

The club's chairman, speaking to BBC Radio Wiltshire, said that "you can see the talent the boy [Kent] has" and admitted that whilst Rodgers "is keen" for him to go on loan to the Robins, attracting someone of his quality is "going to be difficult" and looks "highly unlikely."

Kent is one of the most highly-rated youngsters in Liverpool's youth set-up, with a particular highlight his stunning brace against Everton in the under-21's 3-1 mini-derby win at Goodison Park in April after a three-month spell out of action through a troublesome back injury.

Several Liverpool youngsters going out on loan

Kent's loan move would be the third inside the last couple of days, after goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux and forward Sheyi Ojo sealed season-long loan moves to Swindon and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 21-year-old shot-stopper was on trial at the League One outfit when the Reds visited them for their final pre-season friendly, and was awarded Man of the Match for his efforts.

After featuring for Liverpool's under-21s last season, Vigouroux insisted he was pleased to get some games "in the real world" as he joins team-mates Jordan Williams and Kevin Stewart in Wiltshire.

whilst Ojo - who scored the winner at the County Ground on Sunday - will be looking to prove he is worthy of the step-up to the Reds' first-team after a spell at Molineux.

Ojo signed a new long-term contract at the Merseyside club before his loan move was announced, similar to centre-back Lloyd Jones - who recently extended his youth loan at Blackpool to a season-long loan having signed a new and improved deal in May.
