Jürgen Klopp wants to bring back the good times for Liverpool FC supporters, starting with a swashbuckling style of energetic football, after his unveiling to the media on Friday morning.

The German was officially announced as the Reds' new manager the night before, agreeing to put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal at Anfield having been out of a job since leaving his former club Borussia Dortmund at the start of the summer.

And having struck up such an accord with the fans during his seven-year tenure at the Westfalenstadion, he is now looking to provide the Liverpool fans with memories to cherish - having recently stated he is now a Liverpool man "24/7."

Klopp hoping to make the most of "wonderful" opportunity

Klopp, speaking to reporters, hailed them as "extraordinary" supporters and spoke about how Anfield - where he was led around for the first time as the club's manager before his press unveiling - is a "world renowned home" with an "incredible atmosphere."

The 48-year-old insisted that he wishes to build a "great relationship" with the club's fans, in order to "give them memories to cherish."

Klopp is celebrated for his infectious enthusiasm and passion and said that he hopes to use that energy, alongside that which is created by the home crowd, as they take "this journey" together.

A two-time Bundesliga winner and also twice the winner of the German Football Manager of the Year accolade, Klopp arrives with quite the pedigree - but remained humble as he thanked the club's owners, Fenway Sports Group, for the opportunity to become manager.

He added that he wanted to thank FSG for "showing faith" in both him and his backroom staff, with several new faces expected to follow Klopp in over the coming days, and handing them a "wonderful opportunity."

New manager hoping to instil his exciting style of play

The Reds boss explained that they have presented him with a "very clear vision" but declared that shares "their ambitions and model of work" despite suggestions that he might have been opposed to operating under the infamous Anfield transfer committee.

He insisted that the challenge is "very exciting" and he is keen to start working and begin implementing his ideas and "ways of working" into the side.

Klopp said the squad he has inherited from previous boss Brendan Rodgers is a "talented group of players" and pointed to the fact that there is "still much to compete for" throughout the course of the campaign.

He will take his first game at the end of the international break, where they travel to fellow top-four hopefuls Tottenham Hotspur, and whilst he accepted that winning is inevitably important - he insisted that "how you win" and "how you play the game" is of equal importance.

Explaining his trademark philosophies, Klopp said he likes his side to play with a style that is "very emotional, very fast and very strong" - adding that the team "must play at full throttle and take it to the limit every single game."

Having become dissatisifed with a dull style of possession football in the final weeks of Rodgers' tenure, Klopp intends to have a playing philosophy that reflects his mentality, the club and shows a clear direction.

Questioned about whether tactics would play a large part, he acknowledged that tactical decisions can help to change games, but said that his side will play tactically "with a big heart."
